and there's lots of worthwhile stuff archived from /tg/...

but... do I love 4Chan? No. Do I hate it? Most certainly not. Am I part of "the anonymous legions"? No (but seriously, that sounds like a title Fox News would give 'em). Do I think it's a child porn site? No.

Ok...that may not be such a good first impression, but uh...hm...it's a bit tricky to convince people the site with self-butt-sexing guys is a place they should check out again. But hey! Could be worse! His own dick could've been in a child's ass. You have to see the good things.

4chan is awesome. Those who spout about how horrible it is are either A) are idiots. B) never been there so are just spouting crap they have heard so see reason A again. C) are weak and only checked out /b/.
/b/ is not 4chan. If I want some good shock pics or to fap then sure, I check /b/. But then I go to /ck/ and get some awesome recipes. /tg/ and talk about 40k. /fit/ gave me some great tips to stay in shape. /x/ kept me up many a night with spooky tales.

And ya know what. Some of the most intelligent and open discussions I have had online took place on 4chan because people are free to say what they please without having to worry about offending people and most outside of /b/ do not even want to offend people.
Oh and the whole "its full of child porn" stupidity. They ban you there for that. That is about the only thing they do ban you for. And the mods do a fantastic job keeping on top of that.

I have absolutely no idea what you are saying. Putting letters in // marks doesn't help anyone's understanding. But let me tell you. Whatever that "/b/" stuff is you are talking about, that is why people hate 4chan. It doesn't matter how good the other content is, having that kind of low life, child porn, ect stuff makes the site disgusting. I don't hate on websites or gaming ever, but I do draw the line at this.

The // indicates the message board shorthand. He also adds descriptions about them right after... /fit/ being the Fitness board, gives fitness advice. /ck/ is clearly about cooking, and I've never been there.

Also, in reply to your last lines, if someone came on the escapist and began posting child pornography and gore pictures, would you stop coming here forever?

I used to frequent the /k/ and /tg/ boards. Some boards are utter garbage (like /b/), and some are decent, like the two I mentioned.

One thing that the OP failed to note: if the background's blue, you probably won't see porn. Bile, on the other hand, may still exist, but not porn.

Pink background = NSFW. /b/ (random) and /d/ (hentai/alternative) are places to steer clear of if you're not into completely random shit without any form of rules ever.

The vibration from the impact comes from further up your index finger towards the knuckle. That's likely where the sound comes from for the most part.

/b/ seems to have a strong dislike of furries for some reason. They'll tolerate pedos, thieves, drug addicts...but not furries. I've never been sure why, but you could try again on a Friday. Friday on /b/ is Furday (there might still be hate, but not as much)
