Poll: A world without music...

Tell me, fellow Escapists... what would you do if there were no music? At all.

Personally, I think it would be a very, very dull world.

Game soundtracks included, of course.

EDIT: I mean what if it just went 'poof' one day. Gone. And it cannot be brought back.

Well, it would be rather dull... and different. The world would probably be unrecognisable.
Perhaps something would take the place of music. Either way, the world would be radically different.

Edit: As for what I would do... I probably wouldn't exist. At least, not as this version of me.

Now I'm not sure if thats a world I want to or don't want to live in.

OT: I'm not sure I guess since the world would have always been without music or is there some kind of event that has wiped it out recently? If its the former I would never know about it anyways and would move on with my life. If its the latter I'm not sure I would miss it greatly and it would make my walk arounds a lot more boring but nothing to kill myself over.

A world where music had never existed versus one where it was suddenly removed would be different.

For the former, I'm not sure what the influences of music have been on how the world is today but it would be never interesting to consider. I couldn't care though because I wouldn't know what it was I was missing.

If music stopped existing today I'd be pretty bummed out about it. It would probably bother me from time to time when I was in the mood for it, but I would get by. There are still movies and books to look to for entertainment and emotional resonance.

I'm too big of a music fan to live in a world without it. I use it in everything from studying and background noise, to a soundtrack while motorcycle riding. No, sir. Can't do it.

So although suicide would be THE big step, I'd come pretty close to that option, yeah.

Oh dear God! Why? WHY?!!!

If that happened I don't know what I would do, if every kind of music disappeared one day. If it was just rap that disappeared, my reaction would be quite different, because I just can't stand listening to it. That is just my opinion.

If it was all the stuff I liked I don't know how I would react, probably violently, because it is one of the ways I use to keep myself calm, (others, drawing 'when listening to music', video games, reading, ect . . .) and focused on what I'm doing. Without music, many of my outlets/interests would go down the drain never to be seen again.

I don't think it would be possible, music will always exist. Whether it be in the form of a band or simply a person whistling, you can't stop it. I can imagine a world without SONGS, all forms of music in media dissapearing. But music in general, is something that is within a person and can not be rid of.
