My question is: If you had the means to seize control the world through military force and became ruler of the world with no opposition whatsoever and what you say goes, would you still want power if it meant the loss of around 2 billion people (6.8 billion people worldwide today)?

I guess not. There's times when I'm not satisfied with how the world is run, but I'm entirely sure I couldn't do any better. Hell, I'd probably make it worse.

No. The only reason I would assume control of the world would be in an attempt to better it. And killing 2 billion people in a military seizure is not helpful.

Also, I'd probably just make things worse. Even if I somehow avoided going mad with power, my police-state utopia could only last for so long. And then it's back to the mundane ol' power struggle and clashes of opinion.

Hah, hell no.

Besides, killing 2 billion people would make ruling over the rest of them extremely difficult.

Two billion lives to balance and improve the lives of five billion? Sure with a few regrets, so long as I don't have troops who torture and rape people and only kill with bullets.

Those two billion will be remembered as the ones who helped prevent over-population for another generation....

Yes, especially if I got to pick the 2 billion. First get rid of people I don't like but know personally, then people who would be better off not alive.

Damn, I thought this was going to be about the Tech N9ne album.

But yes, I would take over the world if given the opportunity. Isn't the world supposedly overpopulated anyways?

No because you keep having to do one ethnic cleansing after another just to keep the idiots distracted while everyone else tries to stab you in the back so they can pick the next genocidal regime's theme song.

No, I'd just corrupt every world leader to do my bidding. Less unneeded bloodshed and I'd have advisers to help me rule the world, because I'm not taking care of all that by myself. Africa's a fucked up place, I can't handle that alone.
