As long as I still have a few billion to boss around and build statues of me, kill as many as you need to.

Yes, but I want to do the humane thing and choose who dies so I only remove the least desirable population...Wait a minute, is that more humane or more monsterous?

Yes, and I would forever afterwards tell myself that I prevented world war three by seizing power in the way I did.

After all that would leave tracts of the world uninhabitable and kill many more.

Also with the entire world under one rule it would be easy to end genocide, war, strife, famine.

Of course all that would be how I would justify my actions to allow myself to sleep at night.

Not ALL of them...just whoever needs to die to better mankind as a whole. So MOST of them. No regrets though.

Hm. I don't know.
I don't really see the appeal in being the absolute ruler of the world. It sounds like a lot of work.

Plus if two billion people died because of me, I'd feel like an ass.

But then again... Power.

Yes. But not because I want world domination, or my own power.
I want the world to be united.

And with my rule, after generations upon generations of rebels are subdued, the very idea of rebelling against the government will cease to exist.

And over time, I think that through education, forced ideas, propaganda, whatever you'd like to call it...I can turn humanity into a...Hive mind, so to speak.

All of us, together, same language, same flag, same banner...A wonderful, powerful, unity.

Think of the research that could be accomplished! Think of the goals that could be set and met! Think of the hunger I can remove. Think of how over time, everyone will be in the system, and everyone will be taken care of...?

And the individual...Will mean nothing to the one race that we would all be: Not American, Not Russian, Not Chinese...but Human.

I believe it would be astounding.

Nice question in context.
No, i would not. Cause to seize personal power at the price of billions of lives is so selfish. Too selfish, and the fact that the loss of lives will cause a rebellion that will end up overthrowing or assassinating you anyways. So it wouldn't last long.

Here's me thinking this thread was about that really underrated sitcom starring Stephen Fry...

Yea I wouldn't like the blood of 2 billion on my hands. I would have to pass.

well since there would be over 4 billion people (with the abilities to reproduce those 2 billion people in less than a year), left on the planet I honestly wouldn't mind doing it. BUT! I would feel a bit guilty that i might have killed someone i could've really liked and got along with...
