i have inconsistent insomnia that is currently affecting me rather badly.

my general attempts to solve it basically involve me using it to not sleep for around 48 hours. at which point i tend to phase off my insomnia for a while.

i also stay up like that to correct my sleeping schedule after my insomnia has messed it up, then faded.

All-nighters can be fun as hell.

I would stay up all night with my ex because he worked third-shift at Stake N Shake and her would need the company. It would be fun staying up there all night with him. It was quiet and his friends would come over all the time.

I do remember this one time when he had to go to the hospital so a friend and I had to pick him up from his third-shift job at Flash Foods (he liked the third-shift) and we took him to the hospital and were up there all night. By the time we got home, it was bright outside and all three of us crashed on my friend's bed. I was laying beside my friend on his bed and my ex was sleeping on the floor because he had fallen off the bed. I was waiting for my friend's girlfriend at the time to walk in and make a huge deal about it. Would have been funny as hell.

I've stayed up over 80 hours, albeit only semi intentionally. I have pulled all nighters since I was eleven and now usually sleep 2-5 if that, although lately I have been sleeping more than I prefer (4-5 hours) The less sleep the better.

I was at a friends house once, and I stayed up all night. We watched The Wall, played some video games, and watched 7 hours of Torchwood. I left his house at nine in the morning (had to walk home, was maybe 5 or 6 km) and went to bed at about eleven in the morning.

Not yet, as I have had no reason to do so. The closest I've gotten was going to sleep at around 5:30. Not that I'm particularly opposed to all-nighters, but I do enjoy sleeping and I would need a good reason to deprive myself of my precious sleep.

I recently did an all night left 4 dead game with friends. Then had fencing practice. Not fun that part but the rest was.

I voted for i dont sleep. Which is partially true. The only times i do sleep are when my body shuts me down. I was playing a rather rousing game of Oblivion, into my 20th hour on this character when my eye lids got heavy. I tried to blink once to clear the stiff pain and fell asleep. I woke up 4 hours later and the game was still going but it had paused itself cause my controller shut off. I turned it back on and continued with the quest.

SO yeah, i pull all-nighters......all the time. Sleep is the number one waste of time in my books.

I work until late at night and am an Insomniac. I also really prefer night time.

So no I've actually never done it.

I have been playing video games or writing then looked at the clock and realized it was 7am.

But also, like tonight, I am planning to stay up all night.
Sometimes I do this because there is some special marathon, or I need to beat a game, or, like tonight, I need to finish this chapter before my editor kills me.

Pulled an all nighter with a friend, stayed up all night and went for coffee and a hot chocolate in the morning. (I wanted coffee, he wanted to get out and walk around to wake up)

It worked fairly well, we played video games until about 9 when I pulled my fatal mistake and we watched watchmen. I had already seen it. I was asleep right around the end when his sister had left. Probably the reason why I was still up at that point.

Came home, browsed the internet, learned I had nothing better to do and fell asleep in my chair unawakened by my alarm.

This. The only time I have ever pulled an all nighter is when I had something to keep my occupied and I couldn't go to sleep.

I pulled an all nighter the day before me and my bf's 1st anniversary, I ended with food poisoning somehow...

The next all nighter I pulled was after me and my best friend drove to Indiana to pick up her brother who was drunk off his ass...

I think I have to much adventure in my life, I need to slow down some.

I have done all-nighter on purpose and accidentally. The on purpose ones usually are with friends, video games (or movies), and lots of sugar.

The accidental one happened while I was playing Fable 2. I noticed that it was 2 AM (my usual bed time) and I told myself that I would finish this quest then go to bed. Repeat at 4 AM and 6 AM then my mom poked her head into my room and was suprised to see that I was already awake at such an early hour. I went to bed soon afterwards.

Yeah, all-night LAN. I went to bed at 6:30 PM the next day, and slept until 12 PM the day after.

That's an all-nighter.

I've also done it a few times with co-op games, primarily Gears of War.

I see sleep as a waste of time and I try and make the most out of my days and nights. I do however take naps when my puppy is tired and wants to sleep on my lap.

I've only done one all-nighter before, and that was playing a really addicting flash game.
But, this is my first day on The Escapist and it's already 2:38. Who knows? maybe I'll pull a second one on "accident."
Yeah, mom will buy that excuse...
