Only if they work damn hard to fix all the crippling bugs and gameplay issues. And if they made Thornton less of a ponce.
No you fool, the sequel is:

Mike Thornton and the quest for the Ponciest Ponce.

The plot twist is he is the ponce.

I would rather rip out my genitalia and let whores play jump rope with it rather than play anything named Alpha Protocol again. That game reminded me of....

....Bad Boys 2

YEA, HIGH FIVE!

That is basically what I thought of the game, and I was alright with the graphics.

The sad thing is when I played I got Madison and Mina killed...but at least I got with SIE.
I loved that I didn't take a penalty for sleeping with EVERY SINGLE LOVE INTEREST by the end of the game. :p

But yeah, I got Madison and Mina killed too. It's why I killed Marburg, even though I liked him. Payback's a *****. Still, while the thing with Madison was a pretty easy choice, it was one that I regretted after becoming close with her.

Nah, I love Alpha Protocol. Whenever I think of the song "Video Killed the Radio Star", I now think of Brayko. I also like that you get the option to pretty much pull the trigger on everyone you meet, but you're better off taking the money and letting them live so that they'll be more useful to you down the line. The game isn't as wonderfully complicated as other things from Obsidian, but from a writing standpoint it's still some of the best out there. On the story side there was nothing that I didn't enjoy. It was good fun, I can't wait till I have time to play it again.

I didn't play the first one, but if they fixed all of the problems in the second and made a plot that was unrelated to the one in the first game, I might.

Yeah, on my first playthrough my Michael slept with Madison, Scarlett, and SIE. The only one I passed on was Mina. It was an aspect I really liked. :p

One question

Ok, I am on the second play through, trying to sleep with every lady,

I have SIE on the friend stage: Very Good

Mina on the trusted stage: good

I haven't seen Madison yet but will soon

And Scarlet isan't to improtaunt

Do you think if I am good "friends" with Marburg and save Madison, it will mess up the SIE relationship? Because if I want to get with everyone and get that achievment, I gotta be good with them all.

And is it possible to sleep with Madison before saving her?

No i would not the first one bored me within a few hours, the martial arts felt mechanical and clunky and the shooting is terrible and the guns do about the same damage to a person that a BB gun would do to tank and what is with the crosshair it's fucking massive and all the characters i met were extremly unlikable. It reminded me why i've never been a fan of Obsidian games and i probably won't ever go near a game developed by Obsidian ever again.

It's still not the worst game i've played Too Human still has that trophy but Alpha Protocol is definatly up there.

As long as you're above a seven on their influence, you can sleep with them by the end of the game. And I'm not sure about Marburg, I sleep with Madison and then let her die. If you disappoint Marburg SIE will like you better, but then again, I always choose to let Madison die. So I don't know. Send intel to Scarlett every so often and you'll push her into the right range. As long as you have max influence with them, you can sleep with all of them.

Ok, I don't want to get into a nerd fight or anything (not calling you nothin)

But the thing with the guns. You can't just shoot madly and expect to win, you need to line up your shots so the crosshair gets smaller, then you deal more damage. Taking time makes the fight better. And the other two things I have a different opinion on, so I can't tell you anything about that.

I really enjoyed the first one and wasn't turned off by the bugs, I rarely saw any bugs at all to be honest. It was great fun, the characters were great and the choices, well, they actually felt like real choices. You can choose to do your job but maybe more people will die or save the people, fail at your job, and maybe cause even more people to die down the line. Or save an innocent you care about or save a lot of people. The choices impact the game, they get mentioned later in dialogue, and you have to make them under pressure like you would if you were a spy in that situation. It doesn't always work, the game play can be tough, sometimes unforgiving and brutal, but it was never a turn off.

Better graphics would be nice but they're not essential when the characters are so very fun. (I really liked SIE, Steven Heck, and Marburg.)

So yeah, I'd play Alpha Protocol 2. But then, I'm an Obsidian fan and never been disappointed by any game of theirs I've played.
Also, notably, bugs tend to come with the territory with Obsidian games. Seriously just got used to it. Beyond that, it's a fun game.

I'd play it. Alpha Protocol is good times, but most people just can't look past the minor annoyances to see that
this.

the game and story/characters are all really good imo

but there are slight glitches and a few issues to deal with, otherwise its a really enjoyable game

there are those people tho...they see one bug or glitch and FREAK OUT! and resell the game instantly and call it horrible

The first game was riddled with glitches and bad game design choices. But what worked, worked excellently. The conversation system was awesome, the RPG elements were inredpibly indepth, and the way you can tackle missions in any way you want was great.

The game and the genre itself (Spy RPGS, Hell yeah?) has ass loads of potential, I'd hate to see it drop off so soon.

I enjoyed AP in spite of its flaws - its numerous and very apparent flaws. However, the aspects of the game that were good have a lot of potential behind them, as does the entire concept behind the game. It's the prime opportunity for a sequel if you ask me; it has tons of good stuff to expand upon and tons of crap to get rid of. A sequel that does so will look exceptional compared to its average predecessor.

So, provided they listen to the criticisms and act accordingly, yes, I certainly would play AP2.

That reminds me, I was showing this game to my brother, and he atimaticly assumed that the game was horrible.

Granted, he was fighting Blanko (messed up name) and he had no idea how to play, but STILL!

Yea, I pretty much agree with you.
