I find it pretty silly as people are complaining about the terran campaign, the only campaign of the game and comparing it to a game from 1998 and saying it and it's expansion pack was better then the current story. DUH they were 2 games with 6 campaigns.
I for one feel that the campaign is very well made, the story might be a bit touch and go, but they had to put something in as filler for the game between all the big events. I kind of like it that you are supposedly playing as Raynor when you're moving units around? "Hey Raynor You better catch up!"
As i said earlier the previous Starcraft story wasn't excactly solid gold, the expansion pack brood wars just seemed to meander around The Earth Defense Directorate showing up and getting their asses kicked. Which well works ok, but doesn't really bring much to the plot.
So all the people here stating they know much about Starcraft story is obviously using nostalgic puppy eyes attuned to 2d graphics. Starcraft 2 with it's Terran campaign is, fine even Above most RTS's in story and interactiveness. I won't start with compairing to supreme commander(the whole storyline is just optional sillyness) and Command and conquers Jacked up Aliens and massive in-continuity of storyline. (Kane is dead, OH hes alive, Oh hes dead Again, NO hes ALIVE! And now wants to be spacepopelololo). Woops i already did.
Well the moral of this post is, there's no pleasing nostalgia.
