Poll: Anyone getting Destiny?

So as Destiny gets released in 5 days, I was wondering how many people are going to give it a shot.

Currently I'm up in the air about getting it, as I know any game with an online component near launch tends to be a pretty shitty experience.

I haven't heard too about the game in general so I am unsure as what to expect gameplay wise, are there any Beta players around who can say if they think its any good?

You know, up until now, I've had no interest. But yesterday at work, I checked out the game. The more I look at it, the more interested I become. The game will not be a day one purchase from me, even at 10% off. But if the reviews roll in positive, I probably will get it. I need something to hold me off until Shadow of Mordor anyway.

The Beta underwhelmed me. I also just don't have the time to invest in another grindfest/timesink MMO at the moment.

I loved the alpha and the beta and I'm really looking forward to finally playing something interesting with friends.

"Interesting" as in "hey, there's a sort of grandiose sci-fi opera co-op/mmo type of feel to this".

I only a few days ago learned it was even coming to PS3, so I don't really know much about it. I saw a trailer a long time ago and it looked really uninteresting. I have been planning to learn more about it since its almost here and I actually have some money for once.

I'll probably get it at some point most likely when it's cheap.Frankly I don't really get the hype.I put a good few hours into the beta and I have to say I was underwhelmed

not really interested. I played one level and that was it. The whole idea just wasn't that interesting to me. unless the majority of my online friends get it I won't be buying Destiny.

Nah, I was halfway kinda sort off a little bit interested, then I tried the beta and it was boring.

*sigh* I really liked the design of the characters with their slick armour. But... yeah, I have to support the Escapits who find the game to be lacking. There's an interesting game burried which can still emerge in the retail version.

But my hopes of a pure Shooter version of 'Mass Effect' were completely eradicated. Especially when I saw the building kit for the four playable areas. Looks really boring, reminds me of the videogame experiment 'Defiance' with better graphics.

Not really. its no on PC but even if it will come to PC i probably wouldnot. im more into SP FPS. and destiny looks too much like Halo.

I pre-ordered after playing the beta. Before I played the beta I wasn't interested at all the trailers hadn't really done it for me, but the beta actually got me pretty excited for it.

I tried the Beta. Mixed feelings on it, really. The weapons are a bit too unimaginative for a sci-fi shooter, but the customisation is kinda cool.

There's nothing wrong with PS3 beta, but I'm gonna wait to get a PS4 and play Destiny on it.

I have mixed feelings about the game. A co-worker of mine shared some gameplay videos with me, and I have to admit does look pretty good. But from what I'm gathering by the responses of the topic it seems to fall a bit short, so I'm not sure yet. I have to play it for myself first.

I'm definitely going to wait quite a bit after launch before I even consider picking it up.

Nope, I already play warframe which seems pretty similar and I don't have a PS4.
And there's no way in hell I'm buying one just to play destiny.

Maybe when it comes to PC. I don't do much console gaming anymore and feel FPS are best played with a mouse. FPS RPGs are way too rare(fucking love Borderlands), and I got a deep love for MMOs as well, so this game is perfect for me in concept. I'll let the players decide if it's worth getting however.

Nope. Was quite interested in it until Bungie announced it was a persistent world MMO, at which point I completely switched off. I get that there are people who enjoy such games, and they're welcome to their fun, but such games are not for me.

Played the beta at a friends place and was very unimpressed. I wasn't going to buy it anyway because I don't do subscriptions because I'm poor, and I hate feeling like I'm wasting my money if I'm not using something (Destiny has no PC release therefore requires PS+ or XBLG). However, I was still open to the idea of me liking it and possibly just sponging off a friend, however I was relieved to find that there are better free MMO's to play on steam.

I was pretty hyped for it around announcement time, then about a two months ago my excitement died and I forgot about it. My friends are making me buy it though, so it may be a good time, I'm not going in with hype and unrealistic expectations at least.
