I dabbled with the Alpha and the Beta. It's not bad.

I remain unconvinced that it will have the impact of Halo or the longevity of CoD, but I'm hoping for the best. Being a long time fan of Bungie's stuff, I am eager to play it nonetheless.

I don't play much PvP multiplayer. Halo is about the only shooter I ever play in multiplayer at all, and that usually only lasts a few weeks before I move on. So for me this one will rest on co-op and story stuff. So we'll see next week.

I haven't been more interested in a game in a long while.

I have almost no idea what it is about destiny that intrigues me so much, but whatever it is, it has me hooked.

I'm probably just susceptible to hype if we're being honest here.

I played the beta on PS3 and liked it though I must admit I didn't think the graphics were particulary good, even compared to other PS3 games. The next gen versions are much better in that regard, Bungie have hinted that a PC version is likely after the console roll out has gone ahead so I think I'll wait and hope for a PC version

Never played anything by Bungee, including Halo, and don't plan to. Not buying any new consoles currently, just sticking to PC gaming.

Though I love the "Story of the Pack" trailer for the game. Partly because it's got The Dentist from Payday 2, which is another awesome trailer. xD

Played the beta at a friends place and was very unimpressed. I wasn't going to buy it anyway because I don't do subscriptions because I'm poor, and I hate feeling like I'm wasting my money if I'm not using something (Destiny has no PC release therefore requires PS+ or XBLG). However, I was still open to the idea of me liking it and possibly just sponging off a friend, however I was relieved to find that there are better free MMO's to play on steam.
Where did you get the idea you need playstation plus to play? Because you don't.

OT: yeah i'm getting it on release day ( fuck preorders).i played the beta and liked it. Plus i get to make my ps4 library bigger.

Played almost all of the beta. It was fun, but I feel like I already had my fill of he game from the beta TBH. Didn't seem THAT interesting.

My friends are all getting it on PS4, and I don't own one, so I'll pass for now.

Well, considering:

A: Bungie gave a gigantic middle finger to PC players and abandoned the PC build.
B: I have zero interest in buying another game for my aging 360; especially one that would require me to buy Gold access again.
C: I have even less interest in buying one of the "new" consoles, let alone a game for them.
D: From what I played in the beta I didn't see anything that grabbed me nor anything that would justify a sixty dollar purchase.

I think my stance is pretty clear. Doesn't really help that Bungie, in my eyes, has lost that spark of "magic" that made their games so compelling. There was just something....off about the Destiny beta.

Maybe the game will 'improve' post launch. I can't say. But barring that I have no plans at all in purchasing it.

That won't necessarily stop me from playing it with a friend on her or his system, though.

Another gripe I had with the beta, nit-picky as it may seem, is that Bungie still insists on putting the aiming reticule in the bottom half of the screen instead of at the center. That just drives me mad. You lose SO much spacial awareness even with the simple act of aiming up for a headshot.

They've been doing this since Halo 2, and it seems like they move the thing farther down with each new game. It's ridiculous. I can't fathom a reason for it.

Watched my brother in law play the beta. It seemed somewhat fun, but I have a bunch of other games I am more interested in, in addition to games I already own and need to finish. I may get around to Destiny at some point but I feel no rush to get it right away.

Nope.

Multiplayer games are fun for at best a week or two. After that the monotony of playing the same match over and over sets in and I'll never touch it again. Multiplayer-only games have little value to me.

I've never understood the hatred for Halo. It, outside of Halo 4 and arguably Reach, had great single players that played almost like Sci-Fi Half Life 2, and had a fantastically well done universe.
Wait...Half-Life 2 wasn't science fiction?

Regardless, I mostly agree. There is quite an expansive story-verse within Halo; though I generally discount the novels. And there's a fairly consistent level of cohesiveness to the disparate narratives.

That said, however, I've always felt that the Covenant were a bit too...cartoony. It always made it hard for me to accept them as a serious enemy, let alone as a significant threat to humanity. This became especially true in later iterations of the series after CE.

Still, the world and character designs have always been pretty fantastic.

Not coming to PC so I don't care for it.

I will be busy with Dead Rising 3 and Wasteland 2 this month.

Pre-ordered the limited edition for PS4 after having loved to play alpha and beta. Will play as a female human hunter.
Aesthetics visuals paired with sublime aim and handling and a pretty interesting setting really sold me.
There are a few hiccups like the long and quite frequent loading times or the missing group finder for the raid but overall I?m very positive and excited about it.

I was on the fence after the beta. A bit underwhelmed. But, I have bugger all games for my xbox and it was already on preorder with £15 worth of reward points on it so I figured I'd get it.

Halo: CE and Halo 2 had crappy PC ports (and both were delayed a few years), so I imagine he wouldn't care anyway.

OT: No, not really. Yes I love Bungie as a company, as a communicator with the fans and their commitment to filling their games with as much detail as they can. The more I heard about Destiny the less I was interested in it. Maybe if I hear it's alright I might get it. Until then I'll just load up their old PC titles or replay Halo 2 or 3 for the fifty bollilionth time.

Nope, didn't play the beta and the trailers downright didn't interest me. Judging from the gameplay I've seen the FOV will be to small for my taste anyway, downright making me have tunnelvision. Not into multiplayer shenanigans either.
