My cousin met his now wife over the internet. He was in Michigan and she was in Thailand. They have a kid and seem very happy together.

Both love and lust exist on and offline. Is love a bit harder to find online than in the "real world"? Not really. Anonymity only goes so far when two people have honest intentions of making something real work out. This depends wholly on the people involved.

I've had the most amazing relationships through the internet that most of my relationship don't hold a candle to what I have felt online. I believe if you can act mature and like a normal adult, internet relationships can be better than "IRL" relationships. Looks dont matter online, everything is personality and taste, which is what all relationships should be based on.
