Yes. But if you're gonna make me choose then dogs because they're more interactive. Hanging out with a cat is like hanging out with a stoner. Or a piece of furniture.
This is why I prefer small dogs. They tend to be more docile from my experience. Also, big dogs are higher maintenance and live shorter lives. I will say this though, in the case of dogs being aggressive or attacking people, it's usually the case of a shitty owner. That being said, I would never take the risk of owning something like a Pitbull. I'll stick to my loving Beagle. Sure they're stupid and have trouble obeying more complex commands, but they are very docile and love to play. That's my kind of a pet.Johnnyseven said:Oh and if you own a dog, especially a large one, don't tell me that:
A. Your dog isn't like other dogs and wouldn't hurt a fly.
B. Your dog just wants to play.
C. Your dog is all bark and no bite.
Gotta agree with you here. When I finally got settled into my new place, I didn't have a cat but once I him, I genuinely felt better over all. Less stress, less worry, less general badness. For that, my little buddy is amazing.Cowabungaa said:I like some dogs but they intimidate me pretty easily, so I go with cats.
I'm not overreacting when I say that my cats actually kept me alive. Anyone who tells me that they're careless critters is totally talking out of their ass.
The most extraordinary relationship I've ever had with an animal was with a shy, wild cat. One day I found her in the backyard, we stared at each other for what must have been more than an hour. After that she came over to me and behaved totally tame.RedDeadFred said:I prefer my pets to be more grateful to have me. A cat has nothing on a dog who runs greet you follows you around just so it can be with you.
