Actually, if someone doesn't decide that they are one then they aren't one. Gamer as it is used today usually=gaming enthusiast.

Since the term was left open to interpretation, I chose to interpret that a gamer is not someone who just happens to play games every once in a while, but someone who adopts a specific sub-culture, mannerisms, habits and possesses knowledge and passion for games that is not found on every single person who plays games ever.

Defined as such, I am not a gamer.

As hilarious and original as the "WHAT??? GAMERS ON A GAMING FORUM???" comments are after the tenth time reading them, why are people giving the OP so much shit? The poll is showing over 10% of the people voting that they are not gamers, and at least one of the posts that I skimmed consisted of someone with a legitimate explanation of not being a gamer. You people act like you think the OP expected to see 100% non-gamers for some reason.
