whether i'm dead or not is irrelevant, they're still part of me and what makes me what i am, besides i want my body to be treated with dignity and respect when i die

and seeing as i want a viking burial that means everything that was mine has to be on the boat (which includes the organs, even if a viking burial isn't possible and i get a regular burial, i want my body to do as much good for the soil as possible and it can't do that with parts of it missing)
Fair enough. I don't really care what happens to my corpse, but I can see why some people would.

I am curious, however, as to why you feel that your rotting body adding nutrients to the soil is better than it being used to keep people alive.

if i'm adding nutrients to the soil with my rotting corpse i'm contributing to allowing the cycle of life for this planet and everything on it to continue, by donating organs i'm defying that process by probably giving 10 people another 20 years to live (and in the case of alcoholics they'd most likely end up abusing the 2nd chance given to them)

Sorry if this sounds rude, but, if that's the case, are you against modern medicine in general? It's letting people live longer than they would otherwise, so it's defying the cycle of life by keeping them from giving nutrients to the next generations.

I would like to pose a hypothetical and completely irrational questions: What if you get into an accident and doctors don't try as hard to save your life because you are an organ donor? Hmmmmm? Hmmmm?

OT: I am not, I am intending to get around to it.

i'm not against modern medicene in general as most of it isn't taking anything out of you to put into someone else, also moderne medicne is a very broad spectrum covering things that may not be life threatening as well (like dental work for example)

that said i do find mans arrogance when it comes to living and refusing to accept that death is simply a part of life rather irritating

There isn't much demand for Draconic organs. And I intend to hang on to mine in any case.

(out-of-character: Yes.)

Yep. If I die then I don't care what they do to my organs. Once I check out, my body is just a cold slab of meat and so long as they bury me eventually I don't care if there are a few pieces missing.

No. My boyfriend asked me not to after hearing that doctors are more likely to pull the plug if you're a donor.

I don't necessarily believe that, but he cared enough to ask me not to, for my sake. I'm more than happy to oblige, for his.

Yes. The last time I renewed my driver's license, the option was on the form. If i die, im not going to be using them anymore. They can have my watch too for all i care. Some people are paranoid that if they are under the knife for some reason, doctors will let them die if there is a patient in the same hospital that needs an organ transplant, but that seems paranoid (even to me, and i occasionally have paranoid delusions.) Im an atheist and an all around practical, logical person, so i have no other hangups about my body.

I intend to when I am in my hometown/state again.

However I plan on EMT training this summer as well, so I like to think that while my organs would be good to someone if I was dead, they are of better use now inside my body so I can do the whole EMT thing.
You do realize that they won't just take one of your organs while you're still alive right?

I would be but I'm only 14 I don't even know if I can sign up for that and if I have my parents might have already done that (and I hope they did.)

I think the people who don't want to donate their organs when they die are silly and need to get help but it's still perfectly understandable, I use to think my body was sacred and I was so afraid of stuff like that happening to me.
Do you live in the U.S.? When you apply for a drivers license there's a box you can check that will say "I would like to be an organ donor." Also, if you don't click the box, you owe the DMV 26$.

Edit:
OT: Yea, I am. One of my best friends was saved because of an organ donor, I just feel like it's worth it. The ability to save a life after death.

Yes. Mostly because when I'm dead I won't need them. So why not give them to someone so they can have second chance?

Also, the medical system has taken such great care of me. But since I can't donate blood (tried three times) and I can't donate bone marrow (tried to sign up at One Match) because of my Crohn's Disease, I figured I'd help by signing up for Organ Donation.

Yes I am because why not?

My only regret is I don?t make a suitable blood and bone marrow donator also.
