I'd rather go it alone.

I'm playing EVE because I feel like I can go it alone and still do pretty damn well. I tried some other games and it felt like if I wasn't going in a party, I was gonna struggle.

Though early on, I did make extensive use of Rookie Chat.

Me: "This is gonna sound nuts, but can I make a corporation with just one person?"
Someone else: "Yes"

This. For me, it's especially noticeable those rare times I'm not soloing in an MMO (silence in a group freaks me out) or when I actually find opponents in fighting games.

Very, very anti-social gamer. Unless it's guitar hero, that is always fun with others.

Probably a mix. I love my single player games, but if there's anyone on who I regularly play with, I'll start up a game with them. I add people who I enjoy talking to, rather than people who are just good at the game.

A social gamer, in my opinion, would be someone who plays a lot of multiplayer games, has friends who game, and likes to have people with them to play through a game rather than be alone.

An anti-social gamer would be someone who prefers to game alone, enjoys a singleplayer experience over a multiplayer experience, and doesn't have many friends who game.
Well going by your definitions, I don't necessarily like multi player but i like single player with a bunch of friends in the room who IF i need help can give me options but mostly keep their mouths shut. At the same time I like playing games alone. So I'm a mixture of both. both in gaming and outside of gaming.

I'm a mixture of the 2 but it also depends on the game and what the other people are like online. Sometimes they want to do something risky or something idiotic and I try to avoid those people and games like WOW that almost force you to always get assitance to pass quests I somtimes find annoying!

Social.
ALl of my friends are gamers (well, the vast majority of them anyway) and every 2 or 3 weeks, we go to a net cafe to play Left 4 Dead and DotA together.
It's odd because none of us are Asian (xD).

It really depends on what you mean by socializing. I only spend time with my family, and my parent's friends, cause hell, im the only person in a 10 mile radius who is under the age of 60.

Social I guess, I make friends online pretty easy, and about 7 friends of mine IRL are gamers...I like being alone in Forge Mode on Halo 3 though...so nobody messes my structure up.

Anti-social
Whenever I'm online in a game the only people i actually talk to are my real life friends, I absolutely hate talking to new people

I would say social, I do love single player games though, they tend to have the best stories. Though when I close the game I will be off to talk about it with one of my gaming friends, and maybe play a round of multiplayer too *nods*

Wuw, I didn't actually understand the question. But I guess I'm anti-social.

I hate playing with people I don't know. It's like using a car you have never seen, you have no idea how fast it can go, when it will crash, are the breaks working and so on.

That's why I enjoy (at least, used to) Guild Wars - 7 AI + me = awesome.
