I will 100% a game when there is new content to discover, which achievements are not.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light had it down perfectly, every goal / achievement came with either a new gun or upgrade and I played my fingers to the bone just so I would get everything there is to see / use.
Indie developers learned how to do it right, either step up the game or fuck off with your lazy bullshit.

Well, yes, to a certain extent. I rarely go for online achievments unless it's something I can do with my friends. And I try to avoid the 'grind' achievements, like 'Seriously' from Gears Of War. Also, if I feel that the achievment is just way too time-consuming I'll give up on it.
I'm totally an achievement whore, but I understand why people wouldn't want to bother. It's not like achievements or trophies matter, and if you get tired of the game why keep playing? There's no point in boring yourself just because you haven't unlocked everything.

I think they add a nice bit of replay value, but I'm not hugely concerned with them. That said, on several occasions I've been mucking about with friends in TF2 specifically trying to get them (I avoid specialized achievement servers on principle).
I am getting into trophies now. I got the uncharted 2 platinum and now I just want more. I'm working on Mass Effect 2 now and I'm planning on going for the Uncharted 3 and Arkham City ones as well.

For example I got Platinum trophy in Infamous and Batman: Arkham Asylum, because none of the trophies were that grindy and I wanted to keep playing those games anyway.

I DO like me my trophies. In fact, I'm currently racing with three other friends to see who can be the highest level. I started out in last place. I am now in second, and closing in on the leader. He's at level 16 and is starting to freak out because it's dawned on him that I'm closing the gap faster than he can widen it. I'm now at level 14, 80%, and with the game drought coming to an end this Tuesday, the race is ON!
That said, I will attempt to get 100% on games if I believe I can. Most of the time, these are RPGs or shooters, as they can be done fairly easily (Modern Warfare 2, Alice: Madness Returns, etc). However, sometimes a game will throw a trophy at me that I simply can't get. To this day, I still haven't completed "Mile High Club" and "No Fighting in the War Room" on veteran because of the stupid time limit. I also can't get all the combat challenges in Batman because some of the scores are insane.
Then there are games like InFamous and Mass Effect (not Mass Effect 2), where I could totally get the platinum trophy/all achievements, but I don't want to because some of the trophies are linked to being evil/mean. I just can't do that. My conscience won't let me. It tore me up enough getting the platinum for both Dragon Age games. The only way I could do it was because I told myself the choices weren't evil, they were just matter-of-fact and unpopular.
Finally, there are games with multiplayer trophies. These games need to die. Call of Duty did it right by having no trophies linked to their online. If I decide I'm going to get online trophies, I start on those first, the day the game comes out, because no one knows the game yet so it's easier to get a 7-killstreak reward (cough Medal of Honor cough). After that, I never touch the multiplayer again because I view it as a chore, not something to do as fun.

Nope. I play games to have fun and to do what I want. If the requirements for 100% completion don't match up with what I want to do, then I have no problem with not doing it.
If there's some achievement/trophy that's rewarded for doing something awesome or difficult I might go out of my way to do it just to say I did. But if it requires me to "Do this repetitive task this excessively large number of times!", I'll probably pass.

I voted no because nowadays I actually measure the fun factor and time required to get a trophy to see if it would be worth it before I bother trying to go after. After collect all the feathers in AC 2, I can't be bothered to do anything similar to it in a game ever again unless there is an in game reward that might make it worthwhile. Something more than a trophy/achievement.
Nope. I only went trophy hunting once to see what the fuss was about, so I picked the game with the highest completion percentage (inFamous 72%, without ever going out of my way to get any), and set about thunder dropping off high buildings. Got bored after about half-an-hour, and haven't paid much notice to them since. I like collectibles, sure, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit proud that I had more trophies than most of the people on my friends list, but I just don't see any appeal to them outside of bragging rights (actually, I'm more ashamed of the fact that my only Facebook posts are the automated ones that you get when you win a trophy). I might give a sh*t if they integrated some sort of reward system though.
I get 100% enjoyment out of games but not in the way they want me too.. I figure achievements ruin a lot of games, mainly because my mate is obsessed with trophies and we sit for hours trying to achieve something REALLY BORING just so he has a trophy on screen.

If I own the game, and just want a reason to keep playing it, I try to get 100% of the achievements.
If I borrowed or rented the game, and the achievement take a long period of time, or I have to do more then one play-through, then I just say it's not worth it.
So I would say that I might be one, up to a certain point.

I play the game for its merits only. If i complete it and their is no interest in replay value, then i wont bother. But sometimes the achievements can help make replaying a game more fun, say like Deus Ex and your second playthrough is without killing and without setting off alarms on hard difficulty. 
Even then if its just dumb easy achievement then i might go for them. Anything thats to time consuming in a game i have no interest in replaying, then i dont bother.

i was but not anymore now i couldnt care less about my gamer score, however when i get bored il try and get a fun looking achievment like get through x level without being seen or something like that
