OT: Have been for 3 years now. My eyesight hasn't changed since then so contacts might be popping in any time soon.

Not currently, as I have my contacts in. That said, I've has to wear glasses since I was eighteen, although I probably should have gotten them before that.

Wouldn't that involve us somehow hitting our eyeballs together? I imagine that'd be somewhat detrimental...

Maybe we'll just use our hands then, like the rest of the world. XD

Wait, do high-five hipsters exist? If not, I'm becoming one. What's another socially acceptable body part to return a high-five with?

Yes, most of the time. I'm wearing contacts if I engage in activities where my glasses may fall off and be broken.

I used to be. Contacts now. (Though the glasses still get used at night and on days when I'm feeling particularly lazy.)

If you're a bat i wonder what awesome thing I would be? I recently went to test my sight, because my eyes had felt kinda strained for a couple of months. Turns out my right eye is currently at -8 and my left at -8.25. Feels bad man.

I always felt bad when my eyes got worse and I am still afraid that that could happen again.

Yea, I'm kinda afraid of that to. The glasses get so expensive after you pass a certain point, so I really don't want to buy new ones

Yup. I've technically needed them since I was 7 but I never wore my glasses so my sight went back to normal. It got bad again when I was 11 and I've worn glasses constantly since then.

Nope. Not according to Mirriam-Webster, anyway. Glasses [http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/glasses] and spectacles [http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/spectacles] are synonyms in this context.

On topic: yes, I wear glasses, have since I was four years old... but I first burned my eyes with snow-blindness as a child. Later it was powder-burns as an adult. I imagine my gaming contributed as well, what with the tiny tube TVs I used in the 80s and 90s, though.

I voted other as I wear both. I've terrible short sight so it's mandatory that I wear some sort of corrective lens. If I'm having a relaxing day or what have you I'll wear glasses.

If I'm doing any sports, contacts and if I'm going out I'll usually wear throw away contacts and keep my glasses in a case in a jacket pocket.

I wear glasses, sadly. I've had them about 5-6 years I think.

I'm just waiting until the day I can afford Lazer Eye Surgery. I know it's not the safest option, but I'd rather try it then be stuck with glasses forever.

5-6 years? I've had them since I'm about 4 years old. I suppose, it might be worse for you since you had the joy of not having to wear them once.

I also plan to get lazered once I've the money for it.

Hehe, I guess. I had to start wearing them right in the middle of my school life, and I refused to wear them at first 'cause I didn't want to get bullied about them. Dx

Having said that, wearing them as a little kid is probably pretty tough too. :/ It's probably just as bad for both of us.
