What was your favourite game on the Action 52?

How do the prosecutors in the Ace Attorney manage to avoid being disbarred after countless obvious attempts at perjury, manipulation of evidence, assault, and general contempt of court?

What can be done to stop the slide toward increased anti-consumer practices that the game industry has been implementing in recent years?
{1} A Dr. Wily villain?

{2} Old-schooler that I am, I have never played that machine.

{4} Aside from not buying their shitty products and yelling at them non-stop until the wax in their ears melts away? Well...I have some lovely torches and pitchforks for sale. Half-price if you're already in a mob. EA, of course, is just bloody incurable, but since they and even Microsoft have been suffering more now than ever in their business lives, I figure something's taking effect.

You Don't Know Jack! Have played any of them? They're pretty funny.

Also, I can't make up my mind of which I prefer out of the original Half Life and HL2. Which do you prefer? And a little bit of why? If you can.
Yes, I have, with friends of mine at a club. They ARE fun and I rarely won, so I guess Jack don't know Jack.

I suppose original Half-Life gives me the most chuckles because I remember Freeman's Mind.

*Checks to make sure on membership* Yeah, I'm in the directory. I just don't chat there. I do other things around here, like running Wild Wasteland. Ask Frappe. He invited me.

I AM trying, but no, I don't know everything. Do expand on this thing I be missin' out on.

So who's this Jack person then?
Referring to my earlier Fallout comment? I don't remember WHY I started calling my characters in Fallout Jack. This was definitely before Samurai Jack. I dunno if You Don't Know Jack had anything to do with it. I think I just like the name. Since the first two games involved the Vault Dweller and his descendent (the Chosen One), I made them a succession of similarly-named characters. When Fallout 3 came along, I continued this...even though the Lone Wanderer might not be related at all. Fun Fact: I didn't name the Mojave Courier Jack because of how short a time between games it is. Somewhere out there, Jack #3 was still kicking.

Furthermore, this has no connection to FalloutJack of the Wild Wasteland RP, per se. He's a composite character of all the Jackness that has ever occurred in my games, his code name a special part of my version of the Enclave which hails from the tale of how my username came to be. (Namely all the Fallout game Jack-naming, plus I was on a Halo Machinima forum and wanted to point out that I wasn't really much into Halo. People didn't seem to mind.) That guy's a fourth Wall Breaker. Heh heh heh...

Illbleed is an utterly unique game for the Dreamcast. It's a campy survival horror game in which you guide a group of high school students through a 'virtual horror land' in pursuit of the grand prize of 100 million dollars that lies at the end. The mechanics are rough, but there's a lot to be appreciated in the story and humour and it has one of the strangest twist endings I've ever seen in a game.

I've actually never played it myself, but I have watched this let's play of it twice.

EDIT: I didn't mean to sound rude by saying "Wrong!" I just really wanted to use the objection generator.

But...goddammit, NO! A Dreamcast game?! Someone borrowed ours and I never saw it again!

Okay, next caller!

Hmmm...

Three things I really hate... AH! Got it. Time limits, escort missions, and cheap moves. Time limits are self-explanatory, but with the added bonus that subscriptions to games are a form of time limit as well, which is why any MMO I've ever been on is F2P. Paying for a limited time use of something is the worst time limit of all, because I have a life to run as well as games to play, so I hate that. Escort missions need no explanation at all. If you've had 'em, you understand 'em. The only good ones are where the escortee can kick ass as well. And cheap moves? Well, that's a trope, The Computer Is A Cheating Bastard, where it's designed to shit on your fun.

Three likable things... Story, gameplay, and messing around. The story is the story, of course. I'm a writer, so I love a good story, or even just a half-decent funny story. Gameplay covers my feelings on the ability to enjoy myself in playing the game, unwinding instead of treating something as work. Messing around? Extra fun, doing my own thing or just exploring around. I have trouble progressing in Saint's Row games, but not because I'm bad at the games. It's just so fun to sandbox the hell out of 'em!

Okay, I have a couple of questions.

What... Is your name?
What... Is your quest?
What... Is your favourite colour?

...
...
Oh, and what do you think about the fact that the dog/Dogmeat in Fallout 4 cannot die?

Awesome, I have to agree with you on all counts in the dislike area.

One more set of questions then I'll give others a chance:

What are your top three favorite RPG's (Of any type, w-rpg, Jrpg or Strategy rpg) from three different publishers and franchises (in case multiple publishers were involved with one series)?

What is the single worst game you have ever played to completion?

That's an easy one. I love Atlus games the most. So, the answer is Persona 3, Persona 4, and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.

The worst...? Have a cigar and sit a spell, as I tell you about how this thread harkens from another thread most like it. He said "Ask me anything about Final Fantasy 8?", and I threw him one of my big rants about the utter failings of character design (both the heroes and the villains), the gameplay, the battle system, the junction system, NOT-leveling system, the forced tutorials, the limit breaks, the weapons, the over-dependency on items and Guardian Forces, the utterly pointless and terribly-written plot, and CERTAINLY the bullshit final battle. Why, this is turning into a rant just to describe the rant! Good music, though.

The plot for FF8 was the deal breaker for me, especially when you learn the big twist and one of the main characters knew all along but chose not to say I was like "Fuck this shit!"

I think you misunderstood the first question, the three couldn't be from the same publisher or franchise XD I don't know if the Shin megami games are connected, but those persona ones are, so at least more game. I'll make it harder as well then. Why are they your favorites :D

"For some reason, I think I should save my game on a new slot."

Nice robes. My name is Jack. I seek the Holy GECK. Aaand green.

Also, I never liked having to look after Dogmeat in situations, especially not in Fallout 3 for one very surprising reason... Okay, so the Enclave has arrived at Project Purity and I am ESCORTING a bunch of people to safety. Fortunately, I can tell them to not go anywhere while I kill stuff. Aha, but then...I hear this heavy breathing noise near my character.

*Looks down*

"Dogmeat?! What- But- HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET HERE?! I left you in Megaton! I left you at home with a full doggy dish!" This is moments before I get a surprise feral ghoul rampage. God dammit...

I must have jumped the gun a little, so I'm gonna re-answer that and ALSO your extra questions. Ahem...

So, keeping the Atlus games in mind as ONE entry, I also like Final Fantasy 7 (first video game RPG I ever had) and Shadow Madness.

The reason I like all of these, of course, has a certain variance now that I've actually named FIVE. I have enjoyed the style and quality of Atlus RPGs since I picked up the first Persona game in the 90s. OF course, not everything made it over properly in the series. Persona, as well as SMT, tend to be deeper-meaning and more-thinking RPGs, exploring the depths of your own psyche while killing monsters. Nocturne is EXTREMELY deep, and also harder than any Persona game. Final Fantasy 7 was, as I said, my gateway RPG. SO! You can see why I HATED FF8. No comparison. Shadow Madness is a different kind of RPG. It's a two-disc game with an unusual storyline about people going mad around the world, graphics around the area of FF7 and Legend of Dragoon, and an odd take on the random encounter. If you want to grind up, of course the monsters are there, but...if you felt you'd had enough, every encounter is preceded by a roar sound. If you hit the 'Duck' button at the right time, you've hidden from the attack and may proceed without delay.

FalloutJack! Oh mister FalloutJack! I have a question.

So I'm playing Dragon Age Origins yet again. I went in with the plan of romancing Zevran. But then Alistair happens and I just can't stop myself from going down that road again. Seriously. Every damn time.

My question is this: How do I stop loving that very wonderful NPC man? Is there any way to convince me that Zevran is the better romance?

Acupuncture.

I'm not sure how, but something tells me that the application of many long pointy needles will clear that right up.

Gee wiz Mister FalloutJack! Thank you for the words of wisdom. Long pointy needles shall prevail!

Can that also cure me feeling guilty every time I end up killing a bear, a wolf or a dog in games? Like seriously the amount of times I've felt guilty for hurting poor dogs in Fallout 3 is beyond ridiculous.

No! Not the Catholic Guilt Ray!!!

I try to kill them but gosh darnit there's only so many landmines I have to hand that will blow up as I run backwards away from one deathclaw and into another. They scare me :(
