I can be attracted to people regardless of what gender they are, so I never really experience that. I tend to be on the other side of things, as I can be the wrong gender or sex for the people I'm attracted to.

Although I don't flirt or initiate things with people because I'm shy like that.

On Topic: it may be that girls DO find you attractive, they just expect YOU to make the first move. It's different with guys, even gay guys, they are much more pro-active with relationships.

Also, 2 propositions doesn't make a trend. You may on average only be propositioned by a gay only once every 3 months (on average) fare enough apart to forget or not notice each incident. But if by chance it happens again within a month, you weigh both such incidences more than you really should.

I've occasionally had that problem.

Though being a 20 year old male that enjoys swing and salsa dancing tends to attract the ladies, it also attracts guys who are in to the same thing.

I have had the interesting experience of attracting a female who identified as a homosexual male as well as a male who identified as a heterosexual female. So... I guess gender does actually cover that fairly well.

I don't mind it all that much. I just let them know that I don't swing that way and we have a fine time with it. I also tend to dance with them anyway with that out in the open.

I'll stick my hand up as being in the 'don't attract anyone' pile, though I'll be honest it's more complicated than that. Basically, I tend to get friend-zoned phenomenally hard, for a variety of reasons, and if I don't then people just aren't interested, chiefly because I am quite scary to most people.

The problem of not having all that much to smile about (esp. when you hate how you look when you smile), and eyes that look AT people (or as one person described it, into them) is that people don't even bother/dare trying to get to know you unless they recognise something of themselves in you. And then they trust too easily and too quick and you wind up in the friendzone.

I've been asked to be boyfriends with people online myself. One was from a very trusted male gay friend, one was from a girl who turned out to be creepy who rageblocked me for me telling her off about how she would pwn me in Red Alert 3 (no seriously, I hate people who talk that way), and then this one time in Red Orchestra 2 I managed to attract the attention of someone who is presumably a sex offender as he kept hitting on me and demanding that I submit myself to some very unpleasant things involving various forms of penal pleasure on his part (and my favorite part of the extended micspam trolling was when he claimed he would rape me so hard the doctors at the hospital would have a hard time "stitching my tiny ass back together").

I'm aesexual, ANYONE sexually attracted to me gets me acting awkward. And as none of the guys attracted to me have even pretended to care about my personality... well.

But this has also culminated in the most awkward situation of all- my female best friend-high school, so we'll see how long this lasts- has just decided that she's bisexual, and is making advances. If I had to choose, I guess I'd consider myself heteromantic (but still aesexual) so this is just double the awkward. The best thing to do is be honest. Be flattered at the best of times, and polite even at the worse. There's really not much you /can/ do, so best make how you react a reflection on your maturity.

Yeah, been hit on a few times by the same gay fellow. He's got a problem with being forward, which I remind him of every time he does it. Not a bad guy, though... even if he never shuts the hell up about how awful his life is (it really isn't!)

But don't worry, I'm sure with your boyband looks it's only a matter of time before you start attracting women who that appeals to.

Get out of yourself a bit more and declare your dedication to pursuing the female of the species... Perhaps by eating raw steak and beating your chest at passing women.

I had 2 encounters of the Gay kind, one in a dark movie theater on a school trip in high school (awkward) I just said "Yeah, I'm sorry I just don't swing that way" and felt you know bad but then I got a amusing response "Oh no problem hope we're cool still!*10 second pause* ...Ya know if you ever do want to experiment, I know this guy you see and-" A friendly arm punch and a "shaddap man!" and everything was cool.

The other, well uh...I don't remember as well, I know there was a second one just ...hm. Type as I think, bad idea. I think it was at a party someone asking FOR the gay friend and, just a polite no got me off the hook...sort of. Still got looks.
