Uhm, i think i would take smart and ugly... i think. I mean, like others have said, ugliness can be fixed, but there is no know cure for stupidity.

Eh I've always wondered what it would be like to be an idiot. Ignorance is bliss, after all.
I'd pick beautiful and stupid then probably become an actor or something.

Education.

Also I would like to ask what defines stupidity? Is it a low IQ or low Academic ability? Or is it spending $60000 on a car or massage chair or whatever because it makes them happy but you think it's stupid? Or is it simply a person who disagrees with your own opinion?

Usually people's definition of stupidity (especially on the internet) is more often than not the latter.

Twilight is popular because its a rape fantasy.
Agreed. My theory for the reason it's so popular is because it's a classic example of the un-workable romance (just like Romeo and Juliet). Girls simply like a challenge in their love life, and seeing something almost unattainable makes them want to change it for the better...
I disagree. Romeo and Juliet is one of the most mis-cited works in modern history. It was a subtle parody of such silly adolescent romances. When the play opens, Romeo is soliloquizing about Rosaline, and Juliet is hardly older than twelve, no age to decide her own future. They meet for an hour or less before they decide to get married. It's all very dysfunctional and actually pretty messed up. If that's too vague for you, Shakespeare also parodies romantic writing in this sonnet:
"My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red than her lips' red:
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.
I have seen roses damask'd, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
I love to hear her speak,--yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a goddess go,
My mistress when she walks, treads on the ground;
And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare."

Whereas Twilight is pretty much... well, actually, it's pretty much like the rest of what you said.

It really depends on the level of stupidity and the level of ugliness. There's a certain point of ugliness I just can't go past. Stupidity is a lot easier to deal with. [Stupidity is only apparent when she talks, ugliness will stalk you constantly]. (Although I really would prefer a smart woman).

I would hate being dumb. I need to get constantly smarter. I'm not starting all over again!

Attractive and dumb. Let's quote Yahtzee, eh? "I'd rather be stupid and having fun than being bored out of my huge fucking mind" or something like that.

Edit: Also it seems a lot of people didn't read the OP.

Why does it always have to be the extremes?

I'd rather someone who is attractive, for the sake of argument let's say pretty, but not "stunning" (I hate how shallow this sounds) and is smart, but not a genius.

Just like most people are in real life.

Personally, I'd go for attractive and dumb, because what I'm too stupid to know wouldn't bother me much.
That is the first thing that came into my head. Dumb people can get a bit smarter with expirience but unfortunatly ugly people can't get hot.

Unless of course the ugly is being out of shape because that can be fixed.

I am already smart but ugly. Given the choice, and despite the obvious temptation of being hot for a change, I'd stay like this. Being ugly is something you can work around, and it's only a massive problem when it comes to relationships, which aren't really that important to me - I've managed to do without them so far. But intelligence is important for everything. I couldn't stand knowing I was thick and not being able to do anything about it, it'd drive me crazy. My mind is the thing I like most about me.
But would knowing you are thick mean that you were smart enough to figure out that you were thick? I thought part of being truly thick was being too stupid to notice it.

I don't know.

Can I test each one out first? Because I'm actually curious to know what it would be like to be really ugly. Not just plain or unattractive, but downright ugly.

I dont like people who are too smart or too attractive.
I'll say Attractive and Dumb though, since who Im going out with atm isnt exactly smart (not stupid though), but has a awesome personality.

"Dumb" people can have great personalitys too. And smart people can be completely bland = not good personality.

Smarts do.
Tell that to my grandfather who got Alzheimers, you asshole :p

And he was a pretty awesome dude in his days. Wealthy, intellectual AND good looking.
He is still intelligent. He just has bad memory. His smarts are where he left them, only it takes time to find them. And clean them a bit.

Pratchett has Alzheimer's and he's one of the most intelligent writers I've ever read.

Also, I like smart girls, even if they are not that pretty. However, if a girl was really smart and moderately pretty... beats super-genius without boobs or a plastic blonde idiot.

But who is to say what is and what isn't attractive beauty is in the eye of the beholder
