I'm a fan of both, but when it comes down to it Batman's superpower is that he ALWAYS wins, so in the end it'd go to him. I mean the dude beat Superman to death and Ironman's got nothing on him.

Batman seems to focus on being a detective whereas Iron man seems to focus on kickass. So it depends really what the situation is. They are largely the same but with greater bounds of pseudoscience I'd say Iron man definitely has the upper hand.Anon_Amarth said:

Comic Batman vs comic Iron Man, I'd honestly place my money on Batman. Rich and smart as Tony Stark is, Bruce Wayne has manhandled pretty much every superhero in the DC universe...most of whom could could crush Iron Man like an empty beer can. If Batman was blindsided, I'd be inclined to side with Iron Man...but odds are Bats would pull a deux ex machina out of his ass and win regardless. He's the goddamn Batman, after all.
However, the movie versions are much different. Robert Downey, Jr. would shrug off anything Christian Bale could throw at him, blow up the batmobile, systematically disable his gear, and leave him dangling naked from a flagpole with a "I'm Batman" sign around his neck. There's simply no comparison between the two heroes in the movies; for all the awesome that is the Batman movies in terms of story, Iron Man wins in power and intelligence. There wouldn't be any way for Christian Bale's Batman to defeat Robert Downey, Jr.'s Iron Man.
