Considering Wolverine is the only superhero out of the 2, it has to be him; that, and the fact that he can't really die...

Gonna have to go with Batman, seeing as he always has a plan for everything all the time. Which is really unfair

I've just watched hulk versus wolverine. It was kind of a stalemate in the end. So I'm betting that wolverine would mince the bat.

Although perhaps if Batman could come up with some crazy magnet thing to disable wolverine, then I'd consider that a batman win.

who the fuck thinks batman would win. a normal person vs a mutant with razor sharp claws and regenerative health.

i prefer batman by a mile, but he cannot win this

basically this.

are you shitting me people?

wolverine has a nigh indestructible skeleton with super regenerative health/tissue, not to mention the fucking metal claws he has that cuts through everything like butter.

wolverine dominates batman any day of the week, unless batman just happens to carry a huge fucking car sized magnet with him everywhere.

Well, Wolverine, because he can't die, which sort of makes him the winner by default...

I like batman more but I'd say wolverine wins cuz he has that whole regenerate every injury thing....

Wolverine took a nuke and still lived, ergo Batman can't destroy him, Wolverine wins by default.
How about when in X-Men 2, Wolverine killed that woman with the same powers as him by pouring adamantium into her body?
Couldn't he be killed in the same way?

Besides, Batman could just use a giant magnet to trap Wolverine and then experiment on him until he found a way to kill him. He's a bright guy, he would figure something out and if not him, he could hire someone to do it for him. He is rich, after all.

Hell Batman almost took out Superman(albeit with a little help from Green Arrow). He would probably have a good chance with some preparation.

Batman, he'd have a plan to take down wolverine. Because Batman has a plan for EVERYTHING.

Yes even that think you're thinking of now

Wow, everyone goes Batman has a brain...Batman r Smrt. Wolverine is a tactician despite being cartooned into being a tank with a bad attitude. Despite that Wolverine wins this argument hands down because they don't even need to fight. Wolverine will outlive Batman and most every "mortal" hero. Were they to fight, Batman couldn't do much other than evade and escape because if he did hit Wolverine enough it could send him into a berserker rage and then all of Gotham goes bye bye including Batman.

Wolverine's main power regeneration seems to keep him invincible but since when does Batman kill his opponents? He would somehow overpower him and restrain so that's a win for Batman. Plus, wolverine-repellent spray: end of.

Wolverine, easily. though Batman would have a few cool gadgets, none could defeat Wolverine and Batman's martial arts skills aren't good enough to beat Wolverine either.
*sigh* instant fail for not knowing your character backgrounds. Wolverine does know martial arts, but specialised in just one form and is known to lose the discipline required to use them whenever he gets angry (quite a lot then). Batman has lost his cool on so few occasions you could count them on one hand and has learned mixed martial arts by studying to expert level dozens of them from around the world and combining his knowledge of anatomy with elements of each to perfect a take-down martial art.

If it were two normal guys with each of their skill levels, Batman would win every time, simple as. However, like many have pointed out, the insane regeneration gives Wolverine more than an edge. It really does depend on what you call a win. If you mean a Street Fighter/Tekken style showdown, then Wolverine every time simply because you could never do enough damage to him to get the KO. If Batman had prior knowledge of his abilities and some preparation, then Batman every time through using Wolverine's nature against him. Quicksand, glue and a variety of other materials that restricted his ability to move about would render Wolverine the most lethal draught excluder in the world! Still, he could simply out wait the bonds and kick Batman's ass when he got free. Virtual immortality does have it's perks!

Batman doesn't kill, therefore he couldn't care less about Wolverine's healing ability. Sure, it makes it harder for Batman, but he's used to those kind of odds. Who knows, maybe he would even use it to his advantage? (Get something stuck inside of Wolverine while he is healing. That has to at least hurt like a *****.)

When they would 'bump' into each other, yeah, Wolverine could jump him, and if he is smart enough to NOT gloat about his powers he would defeat Batman. (Talking is NOT a free action damnit! It's giving your enemy time to prepare!) Batman would probably run, then create some master plan and defeat Wolverine.

Sure, in a cage fight Batman would go down (and also putting up a serious fight), but in any other scenario Batman would get the drop on Wolverine.

Wolverine, he's able to regenerate. I do have to say one thing about the fight, Batman would put up one hell of a fight and the battle would most probably destroy the city from sheer awesome.
