I have the ability to grow a rather fine beard in a month or less. My girlfriend loves my beard, and when I went to get a job one of my interviewers even commented on it, saying that her fiancee had a beard as well. (I didn't get the job)

As a woman, I have to say no to beards.
Because they dont `tickle`, they itch like you are rubbing steel wool on your face.

I stick with short stubble, I gave up shaving at 15 or 16 due to being so hairy Id get a 3 oclock shadow even if I shaved in the morning- a scratched and blotchy neck aint an attractive look IMO.

Plus I look about 16 fully shaven, much to my dismay.

That seems to be the thoughts of most women who have posted here, the majority of the pro-beard poll answers are by men me thinks.

Those men should make out with a fully bearded man and then tell me it tickles. :)
I've heard some womean like beards (but I've never met one)

If only I had a beard like my avatar, that would be so badass but I sadly wont be able to grow a good beard until my mid 20's. DAMN YOU FATHER!!

I voted no. I don't mind facial stubble on people, but beards are just horrible. For some reason, they seem to have become the guy equivalent of large fashion sunglasses, in that the other gender tends to hate them. I've seen so few people whose appearance is improved with a beard. Unless your name is William Riker, shave that shit.

Option 3: Depends on the guy/ whether or not they can grow a beard.

Honestly, I'm for facial hair but there are some guys who just shouldn't. Sydney Crosby I'm looking at you.

See, if you're going to grow some facial hair it better be good looking or else it's just sad.

Then again, there are some guys who just can't pull off beards, or any other kind of facial hair.

Beard all the way. I just look weird clean shaven. I'm currently rocking an Abe Lincoln-esque look.

I love beardy men. I'd definitely choose bearded over clean shaven, but then again I'm a fan of hairy guys in general. An ex of mine had a handlebar 'tache, it was wonderful :3

Most girls I've met prefer clean shaved guys. Personally, though, I can respect a classy gentleman with a handlebar mustache.

Depends on the guy. Some look good with one, some don't. My husband has big ol' chops, and they are sexy as hell. But if he ever grew a mustache, all bets are off. It hurts kissing with that and I can't get the cheesy cop vibe outta my head.

'Snot really a deal-breaker for me, but 9 times out of 10, I like my men clean shaven.

The main exception to this is Gordon Freeman.

Was having a discussion with some acquaintances of mine about beards, and whether women are attracted to them or not. So I'm taking the question to you; Beards, yes or no?
It so happens that my girl likes my having a badass beard. And I like having one myself. Furthermore, I am the envy of other beardless individuals.

EDIT: Should I create an Enclave avatar with a bushy beard on it?

Depends on the face really. Some look better with a beard, others look better cleanly shaven. Also sometimes there are other reasons to grow a beard. I'm currently growing a Steelers beard. Spurred on by Brett Keisel's epic viking war beard last year (he's growing one this year too) I will not shave until the season is over for the Steelers.

Thats because most men are stupid and don't take care of it. A well maintained beard is no different than hair on the top of your head.
