Voted other as no Jo Wyatt or Claudia Black, would have come down to those two and Grey Delisle. Don't really like Jennifer Hale as much as those three.

Voted Grey DeLisle, her record speaks for itself

Daphne (Scooby Doo, most [all?] versions)
Frankie Foster (Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends)
Jeanette/Therese/Tourette (Vampires the Masquerade: Bloodlines)
Vicky/Tootie/Chad (Fairly Odd Parents)
Akiko (American Dad)
Mandy (Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy)
Sam Manson (Danny Phantom)
Yumi (Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi)
Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
Selena Kyle/Catwoman (Arkham City)

I actually looked this up a while back when I heard her voice in a cameo role in Gravity Falls (The shopkeeper at the start of Summerween) and thought "hey, she sounds familiar").

I was actually fairly suprised that some of these were the same person which is a damn good quality in a voice actor. Jeanette sounds nothing like Mandy and nothing like Azula for example.
Thanks for posting a short list of the voices Grey Delisle has done. People don't seem to realize that she's almost as widespread as Tara Strong. Although, even if I had never seen or heard anything she had done besides A:TLA, I'd vote for her because of Azula alone. Because I mean...yeah, the role is just that good.

Picked Hale. I thought she did a fantastic job in ME, Starwars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy and Brutal Legend. But her TV roles are good too, such as June and avatar Kioshi from ATLA, and the teacher from the power puff girls as the main ones I remember.

Tara's voices sound too similar to me. It takes me out of the character she's trying to play. Maybe iv'e just listened to her normal speaking voice too much.

I'm going to assume no one has voted for Cree so far since when I click on the poll results she doesn't even come up. I like her but I'm gonna say Delisle

I chose other because I'd go with Mary Elizabeth McGlynn for her role as Motoko Kusanagi from the Ghost in the Shell series and sequels along with her huge roster of animation and videogame roles.

She's also married to her husband who also plays knock out on the current Transformers Prime series as well as starring in an episode of GITS.

Her husbands wiki which also has quite a huge popular roster of characters he's played.

Claudia Black is not in the options! That would of been my pick.

From the current list I would pick Jennifer Hale hands down.

With honorable mention to Ali Hillis (Lightning, Liara) and Laura Bailey (Risette plus a million other characters) ...oh and Jessica Strauss as Juri Han.

You really should have written a brief bio for each of them- most of us don't follow voice actors so closely and will just vote for who they know, rendering the whole poll moot.

Tara Strong feels so natural in all her roles and does great improve as her characters in cons. I love how into it she is. And she's freaking hilarious and well...voiced Bubbles, Timmy, Raven and Twilight. That's some variety there, so she really gets into a variety of roles and pulls them off very well.

She's a Strong double threat (puns are clever!), she can do silly voices and has the acting chops to back it up.

I have no preference.
As long as they give a good performance, I'll like them.
That being said, I generally don't pay much attention to female voice actors, because they seem to blur together, for me.
Male voice actors are able to have a certain gravitas when they speak, see Tony Jay or Simon Templeton, and therefore are more memorable.

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn because she voiced The Major in GitS:Stand Alone Complex and did an outstanding job of it.
I really enjoyed her voice in GITS: SAC/2GiG, too. I don't believe I have seen her in any other series though unfortunately. :(
It seems that she does a lot of behind the scenes work and video game voices. Here's her Imdb page http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0569479/ to see more of what she's done.

On a side note the guy that does Togusa's voice in SAC has a role in Hitman: Blood Money as a journalist and they sound exactly the same and kinda took me out of the game when I first heard it.

Of the list? Tara Strong.

Not on the list? Jodi Benson. She voiced Ariel and Tula (Pirates of Dark Water). For Ariel alone, she'd get my vote.

Jenifer Hale [/endthread]

Seriously, I love her. Chose FemShep for her voice, loved her as Sheena, and even though it's just reaction noises, her voice is the only voice I think of when I hear Samus' voice in my head

She did work on a lot of movies too. Not directly but directing certain aspects. Interesting. She also voiced Julia from Cowboy Bebop too? It's almost as if all my Yoko Kanno animes are connected even more now... xD

Crispin Freeman is one of animes leading male voice actors in my opinion. He is seriously everywhere. Haji, Alucard, Hideki, Kyon..so many memorable places he's been. Same goes with Johnny Yong Bosch. :D
I really don't watch a lot of anime, anything Ghost in the Shell pretty much is all I really pay attention to. Another interesting bit I ran across recently was Amanda Winn Lee who plays one of The Majors girlfriends Kurutan in SAC also voiced the character of Konoko\Mai Hasegawa in Bungie's 2001 game Oni. The Konoko character is very much like The Major in that she's an independent woman who kicks all kinds of ass and predates the purple haired Major by three years.

Aww. You might like other animes though. :)

Is that so? I've only heard of Oni - Never played. I wonder if it was an inspiration...
I'd say that Oni took inspiration from Ghost in the Shell and ran with it. If you can find a copy for the PC on eBay or some such you should get it and play it. It had a great hand to hand combat system with all kinds of special moves and combos you would unlock as you progressed. The story while it was pretty hammy wasn't that bad for 2001 standards, it's got plenty of cheesy dialogue and nonsensical techno-babble.

Here's a link to a Let's Play of it I've been watching while playing through myself.
Bubblegum Tank Police in the Shell - Let's Play Oni [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsACbWHLJxE&feature=g-u-u]
He tries to update about once a week, and while he pokes fun at the game he's not mean about it and it's still informative.

Edit: Also, I've watched some other animes, I was really into it for a while in the late 90's early 2000's which also happened to be when they were really expensive and hard to find, at least in my area. The idea of being able to watch them online was a far off dream 56k and all that. I did rather like the three episode thingy of Gunsmith Cats, which also featured Amanda Winn Lee as the voice of the main character Rally Vincent. If you haven't seen Gunsmith Cats you should check it out, it's pretty good too even though it's really short.

Here's something that should make for an interesting poll. I've noticed there were few notable females in voice acting. Since less answers make for a good poll, I decided to make this. Not much else to say. Answers are above, if it's not there pick "Other", yadda yadda yadda. Just, GO!
Lisa Ortiz, voice of Lina Inverse and many, many others. Very favorite voice actress ever. I have her autograph. ^^

Tiffany Grant, Kotono Mitsuishi, and Rica Fukami also leap to mind.

I love all of them, they all voice some of my favourite characters in animation at the moment. However, my vote goes to Tara Strong, purely because Bubbles was always my favourite Powerpuff Girl, and she gives the incredibly sexy Harley Quinn an awesome and pretty damn sexy voice in Arkham City ;D. Not to mention she voiced Rikku in FF/KH, and again, one of my favourite characters xD
