Who is the best interpretation of the comic book villain, the Joker?

My vote goes to Mark Hamill. His Joker balances the completely terrifying aspects of a psychopath with the loony and charming tendencies of a clown.

My first "encounter" with Joker came from watching Batman the Animated Series and his interpretaion of the character has stuck with me long after the I've finished drooling over Ledgers take on the villain
