i don't know where i stand on this really. i got CoD WaW and played it to death. however, after about a year or so i got really bored of it (just in time for modern warfare 2 so i saved a good £40 there). now i couldn't care less, but i have to accept that i did once love the series.
On one side, we have an unbalanced, so-called realism game.
On the other side, we have an elready partially balanced game with the help of a military advisor. And it looks AWESOME!
You can guess where my vote goes.

Okay maybe I went a tab bit too hard on him, but I really need to clear some things up. I did not like Akimbo shotguns in the second game, (still don't like them) I could care less about the pussy ass heartbeat sensors, (those things are cheap) and the Javelin gliches are annoying. So when I here someone bring up the topic of "ooh they have crossbows that is cool" I think really man? Is this where the MW series is headed. Just keep adding crappy weapons until we have another Halo or Gears of War clone with lasers, guns with chainsaws, bullets on fire, and a number of other unnessecary weapons.
Being honest I didn't like WAW. It was ok,, just not amazing like COD4 was. I went back to COD4 multiplayer after a few months. I've played quite a bit of MW2 and I enjoy it. Most of the complaints are about "You don't play the game the same way I do". Thats for n00btubes (although mine are "pro pipes"), camping, sniping etc.
Yes, there are more campers, I think due to the map layouts and lots of hiding places. Thats what explosives are for. Even better, play as a team and agree not to go that way, he'll move or go 1-0 for 10 minutes play. Yes tubes can be annoying when fired continuously but you can always get yours out. Most of the problems level out in Hardcore team deathmatch.
I'm not hopeful for black ops. I don't think it will be horrible but it looks like more of the same from a developer who I think are worse than IW (who no longer exist). Lets face it though, everyone else you know will be playing it so you may as well get stuck in.
Or find a nice 1 player game for 6 months.
Also; everyone nut hugging WAW, how amazing it is compared to MW2, must have short memories as the start was horrible with everyone glitching out of the maps. It took forever to fix as well. It left half the maps unplayable.

Not necessarily. I loved CoD 4 so much. I only enjoyed Zombies in WaW. And I enjoyed MW2's single player and Spec Ops, and the multiplayer was good for a short while (being the buggy, unbalanced piece of shit the multiplayer was).godofallu said:

I'm absolutely getting it. The multiplayer looks like it's going to be fun as shit, and I can't only play Halo Reach for the next three years until Bungie release something else.
Looking forward to it. I know nothing of the campaign and don't care - World at War was done pretty well so I'm confident Treyarch will make it worthwhile. However in terms of story I got hooked HARD into COD4, and MW2 continued competently enough. I want MW3 to wind it up... hopefully that actually happens.

World at War had zombies, shit was cash, this has zombies and crossbows, SHIT IS SO CASH.
