guns with chainsaws, bullets on fire, and a number of other unnessecary weapons.
The funny part is that they're adding Dragon's Breath, an incendiary shotgun shell essentially.

Anyways, I really don't see the problem with having lots of weapons, so long as they're balanced.

And from what I've seen, the crossbow is really hard to use. BUT it's a one hit kill.

Add that to the long reload time and I think it's pretty balanced.

Thus, I love the crossbow.

No. Why? Retails for $60 on PC. I refused to pay $60 for a PC game. Plus it will just end up being another camp fest a week or two after release.

Either it's going to be a fun fix of MW2 or it's going to be a cash clone. According to what I've read it should be the previous, but you never know with Activision.

I'm looking forward to it.

But the perks, however, suck. Yeah, they took out stopping power. No big deal.

But they grouped Steady aim, Deep impact, Iron lungs, sleight of hand, and bling into one section. I would rather use a couple of those in conjunction with each other. I think they wasted space by keeping both light weight and marathon in different sections, when they could have combined them to an extent.
The two perks tactical mask and flack jacket are similar, and could just be one perk. They seem to exist for the sake of aesthetically altering your character.

I guess they do it for the sake of balance, but I can't really choose a combination. I wish they had at least put in a form of commando that reduced or eliminated fall damage. That would be more useful to me in the long run than ninja.

But yeah, other than perks, looks cool.

It's fucking Vietnam. I haven't seen it done right (by which I'm not just talking realism, but fun) since the Battlefield series, which has left me with a certain mark of love for the game version of that war.

I've enjoyed both Modern Warfare games, so I'm hoping they can do something to at least make a fun single player out of it. Alas, I have no hope for multiplayer, it can have as many crossbows as it likes, Battlefield gameplay elements (vehicles, big maps, capture the flag, tickets) are just gonna blow it away by miles for me :(

It's painful to see some of the people that screamed to the crowd, "they have sold us shit! We shall not give in. Teach them a lesson! Do not give in!" The screams are now about how crossbows are, "cool," and trust me, I don't type cool, as in the cool kind of cool. I'm typing cool right now as in the equivalent of shit. What's even more painful is that I can easily imagine most of the people buying this game, refusing to play the MGS series, (in my opinion a more innovative creative imaginative series) under the grounds that the cutscenes are long. Whatever happened to common sense?

The cutscenes were long. That's an understatement, though. Unless you take your sweet time during the levels, there is more cutscene time than gameplay time. Mind you, when the gameplay starts, it is really fun and the bosses are a blast. But you can't fault people for not wanting to sit through hour long cutscenes.

I actually like the MGS series, though I was never very good at it; I still liked it.

I learned the hard way that MW2 was bad, I finally saw how much I actually hated the game after I wasted so much time playing it.

And crossbows are cool; you're just jealous.

MW2 pissed me off, so, as far as I'm concerned, Call of Duty can go fuck itself with a broom handle, that's as thick as my wrist.

It took me a while, but I finally realized MW2 was crap and sold it.

I mean, it was crap, but it was expensive crap that held my boredom ridden mind (even if the majority of the 100 some hours WAS just rage) for a while, so it deserved a dignified end I think.

Anyways, that being said; my initial reaction to Call of Duty: Black Ops was "No fucking way."

But that was before I saw any of the details present...

Crossbows.

Character Customization.

Weapon Customization.

Crossbows.

A system of currency will be implemented (let's hope there's none of that buying fake currency with real money nonsense)

Ballistic knives (though, that may be a bad thing).

Zombie modes.

Crossbows.

"Wager" game modes, where you bet your money on being a player in the top 3 in the end game scoreboard look pretty cool.

Crossbows.

Crossbows!

[HEADING=3]CROSSBOWS!![/HEADING]

*Ahem* Enough about the crossbows new features. I think the game might be half decent, or even good if the multitude of problems from Mewtwo are cleaned up and Activision doesn't pull that Pay to play nonsense they've been talking about.

Of course, this is Treyarch; a completely different company and they've had a while to learn from Infinity Ward's mistakes to make Black Ops playable. Playable without having to punch walls that is.
You should really throw in that they are adding back in mod support and dedicated servers to the PC version. I am not 100% sure if they are putting back in Lean but servers and mod support post launch are confirmed well kinda the game is not out yet and the MW2 thing was said a little close to launch and we were all expected to go along with it.

I'll get it for the PC, because the 8 year olds shall annoy me when it comes to Xbox Live.

Hopefully the PC version isn't filled with 8 year olds and chavs too...
If you are getting hte PC version we should have dedicated servers back so all those people will probably be banned if they don't act acceptably online.

To be honest I'm most looking forward to medal of honour right now as I found MW2 to become very boring very fast, but with the new trailer for wager matches and the Inside Xbox Interview explaining the currency system a bit more I'm thinking more about getting it, Although I say maybe now but my purchase of the game is near inevitable because I know that once I get settled into Medal of Honour and new Videos for black ops start rolling out the Hype Will kick in. :D

Depends on how well the PC version is. I like how ridiculous some of the weaponry is, and I'm all for that.

Nah! The patriot was cool! But crossbows are just juvenile. I mean, it's like the developers didn't even have standards anymore. What next, cannons!?
No, you caught me there. Crossbows are rather cool, if ineffective next to high frequency blades, and light guns. (Did you get the reference? No?)
