Seriously, there is a person out there that can pull off any look, and still be awesome, but that doesn't mean that whatever they are wearing is cool, it just means it doesn't make them dorky.

When he said why bowties aren't cool I assumed that they would be uncool because of how popular they are, It didn't make sense to me to say that 99% of people Can't pull off bowties which makes them uncool. Hell if you're that .1% then you're pretty fucking cool for pulling that off

although they are cool on tv in Doctor Who ect but they won't be seen in vogue any time soon!

So like any other item of clothing it depends upon who is wearing it!

Actually, that's an interesting thought... The James Bond audition process: "Put on this bow-tie. Now... do you look cool? No. NEXT!"

On a slightly related note (i.e. related to DW fashion), I'm very happy to have discovered recently that I can pull off a trenchcoat. This is an achievement, because I can normally never pull off anything, and this has a tie-in (see what I did there?) to Doc11. I'm a happy camper.

for me it depends on who's wearing it. For band I had to wear a bright red bow tie.... and a skirt. My god I hated that.
