I'm one of those "since the beginning fans". And i have to say, i'm sick and tired of shitty C&C games. I'm sick and tired of building up a massive armed force and steam rolling my enemies. It gets old. It seems like each installment has less and less strategy in it. I won't even bother after Tiberium Wars. Its not like i'm "boycotting". I just won't buy it, because i won't enjoy it.

first of all, do not talk of boycotting a game, because unless you are rosa parks, it doesnt work. second of all, EA doesnt care if the followers of an internet site dont buy the game because it has a TON of other things to rake in money and is only putting another C&C out there because it has still calculated that people will buy it.

I remember that back in the day, you were happy when you got a new game... I guess we should boycott every game now until the developers make it flawless, even it it takes 10+ years.

So it sounds like Dawn of War 2 now(If I am not mistaken). That game was fun, I see no problem here. People should stop complaining so much about every little thing.

While I will certailny play this game no matter what changes they make, if I like the review, what makes me mad is the always online policy.

For that, I would Boycott, but since I'm probably going to play it anyway, I'll deal with it.

Also, I'm glad this is a PC exclusive title so they don't dumb it down for the console tards. Now I do love consoles, but they do this far too much and I don't like my intelligence being insulted.

I don't know.... Who's on the cover? because if she's hot I'll buy it.

(That's how these things work right?)
Probably this lovely specimen. [http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x228/bcarotene/kane.jpg]
Is it wrong I find that prospect infinitely more arousing? He had one of the coolest possible intros to any villain ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOWw2Iu2a4M
(Warning slightly violent)

He's not just cool, he's charismatic. He plays Kane in such a way that you can understand why people believe him to be the Messiah and follow him unquestioningly.

Well, that and he's died...three times now? And he's still as spry as he always was.

The only thing that's a kick in the balls to me is the idea that you have to be online all the time to play the game. While I can see the logic behind it, it's just really inconvenient.

The other stuff... I dunno. It sounds to me like a case of "<url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheyChangedItNowItSucks>They changed it, now it sucks." So a franchise that's over a decade old isn't mass-producing the same old crap over and over again. That's a good thing! Do we really want C&C to turn into some kind of Madden, where every game is essentially the same thing with some minor changes and updates? If I wanted to play old school C&C, I'd play old school C&C.

I'm not saying the new one will be good, because I don't know. Maybe it'll suck, maybe it won't. But whining because it isn't the same game as the ones before it seems to me like a pointless knee-jerk reaction.

Instant pre-order in that case.

And by pre-order I mean I'll go back to playing Red Alert 2.

And for the poll question. No EA haven't killed C&C. EA killed Ultima, they killed Dungeon Keeper but they haven't killed C&C yet.

I hate always online so I am not going to buy it. Going to be the first C&C that I don.t play.
But if you wishes to play it, a boycotting will not help.

Why do people boycott games? Are they under the impression that they can do anything about it?

I'm not boycotting it, I just don't think it looks that good.

I don't like the RPG elements or the idea of having a mobile base. It's nice that they are trying something different I guess, it's just not to my taste.

Besides, C&C3 and Red Alert 3 were nothing compared to Red Alert 2 and Generals.
