When I mean broken controller rage I mean anything breaking, throwing headsets, throwing cups/cans, smashing/breaking glass etc.

If you do, what were you playing that made you rage so hard?

The other night I was playing gta4 on the last mission...
where you had to chase pegorino along the shoreline with a freaking dirt bike while he was on a boat, and if anyone has played it, you will know how terrible the physics are and how god damned long it take to get back up after your bike flips, i kept failing at the motorcycle part(did I mention I have to fight through a horde of henchmen to get there?) and I got so pissed I threw my headset and controller and turned off my console.

Sorry, never have. I rarely get frustrated when playing games, and never to that degree.

No.
The only time I get frustrated during a game is when it is too buggy to play, in which case I put it down and do something more fun.

Yeah, I've broken a few controllers. I snapped a Dualshock2 controller in half once, well not completely in half, but pretty damn close.

I have never broken a controller (or any gaming object) during a gaming rage. However I did accidentally shatter a mirror during gaming joy once.

I usually punch something very soft like my bed or the sofa I am playing on. A friend of mine has a throwing controller that he uses. He throws an already broken controller so he won't destroy his good one.

I almost broke my knuckle punching a wall in anger. I wasn't angry at a game or anything I just get really angry on wednesdays for no reason, so now whenever I make a fist my knuckles crack really loudly and I am slightly numb in 3 of my fingers... other than that I have fairly good self control.

I've dropped my controllers a few times. One of the down sides from playing videogames while working out.

Yeah, when I was like 10 or whatever I was when the N64 was going strong I got extremely pissed during a game of Mario Party and threw my controller into the wall, breaking the shit out of it. OH YEAH YOU'RE GONNA STEAL MY HARD-EARNED STARS WELL FUCK YOU *smash, storm out and call my mom*

if i ABSOLUTELY have to whip my controller at something, i make sure to remember to 180 so it gets spiked into the couch, not the floor. it's muscle memory by now.

usually, though, it just results in me yelling at the television.

You'd have to be aweful spoiled or pretty careless with your money to go and break something over a video game. If you break things over video games then I must say, maybe gaming isn't for you... =/

I never get angry at games, because that's when you start losing badly. I've always noticed in clan matches that if some one on your team starts getting angry, replace him immediately, because he's unable to commit to the strategy and too focused on revenge.

I do get pissed off at my games sometimes, but that's rare, I have never broken or thrown a controller in my rage since I don't want to break them. I don't have many replacements, LOL.
