Poll: Buying an xBox 360.

I have a Pro, and while the memory has filled up a few times, it was mainly because I kept demos and crap that I didn't really need. I have several Arcade games (about five, I think) and DLC packs (7 or 8) and I have plenty of room. I think it's enough, but if the Elite is going down in price, there's no reason to not wait and get it. Except that the black color looks stupid. But, whatever.

60GB is enough. Get a premium. Get the entertainment pack (2) with it.

If I were you I would buy an Elite, because it is the only Xbox with a place for an HDMI Cable so you can get the full HD experience. Even if you do not have a 1080p TV at the moment you may get one some day so its best to be prepared. Also the Elite has more storage space for games and DLC which you will be grateful for eventually.

Nah, the Elite isn't the only version with an HDMI output. I know the post 2006 Premium definitely does - not sure about the arcade. You can always get a converter anyway.

I work at [UNNAMED SPECIALTY GAMING RETAILER EVERYONE HATES] and I've got to tell you; I lose track week-to-week of how many people come/call in asking what to do because their 360 broke. It's gotten to a point where all I want to tell the is "buy a Playstation 3." If your heart is really set on getting a 360, all I can tell you is that even if it seems like a hose-down, get whatever extended warranty they offer you. Because based on my numbers, you WILL need it.

Wait for a month or so. The Elite is gonna drop in price (supposedly to the current Pro price of $299 (convert currency as necessary)) and the Pro will be no more. (Or at least that's what I've been hearing.)

I use it ENOUGH. I play Resistance, Ridge Racer 7, Warhawk, and Little Big Planet. It always crashses, is always laggy, and just overall unpleasant.

I don't use it ALL the time, because I have an online system that actually functions a few inches away.

Alright, fair enough. It's just that I hear this quite often and I can't understand why, for me, PSN lags a lot less and just works whereas Xbox Live is often troublesome. I pretty much expect it to lag now, and god forbid I should want to look at anything on the marketplace, it's been awful since they got rid of the blades, even at my best mate's house, who has a connection speed many times that of mine. Maybe it's a regional thing, who knows?
