i'm surprised no-one has brought up the Jaffacake (it is officially a cake, by the way)

i think its cause Jaffa Cakes only exist in England (i think) but REALLY? i never knew that lol

don't they have Jaffa Cakes in the USA? i've never really checked. they proved it was a cake on the basis that when a biscuit goes off it goes soft whereas when a cake goes off it goes hard and when a Jaffa Cake goes off it goes hard. therefore, it is a cake.

huh, thats quite interesting lol... as for Jaffa Cakes in the USA, the poor bastards don't know of its existence... seriously, ask an American what a Jaffa Cake is, chances are they don't know... they also don't know what they're missing out on

No. A cheesecake is a pie. Specifically, a custard pie. It is exactly the same as key lime pie (which is almost as delicious). Alton Brown did a whole show about it. This man is a professional chef. Will you doubt his word?

i have a friend in America and i asked him if he'd heard of Jaffa Cakes. it turns out he hasn't. they reallt are missing out on that one.

Cheesecake is clearly not a cake because it has a biscuit base. It is not really a pie either seeing as pies should have pastry. That means that banoffee and key lime pies are also not actually pies. It's all a huge conspiracy.

My friends have spent endless hours arguing over this EXACT subject. After long hours of debate we all agreed that Cheesecake is actually a pie, and that Bostoncream pie is actually a cake. Trust me this is the truth, we even asked one of our Dad's that knew a real pastry chief and he agreed. Don't make me and my friends start this debate all over again.
