Mixed feelings. I like the challenge of finding just the right gifts for the right people, and receiving gifts is always nice. Hey, who doesn't like stuff, right? The food, being together, all that is what makes it a beautiful day. But the madness leading up to Christmas Day dampens the enjoyment: mothers fighting over the last toy on the shelf, stampedes for sales and killing/hurting people in the process, the endlessly annoying music (that song by Paul McCartney makes me want to punch babies), and the over-commercialization of the whole thing suck away much of my enthusiasm. So, the day itself is nice, but everything else can stuff it.
