Foreskin being too tight is a common problem across the world. The different over here is that our doctors aren't scissor happy. Hell, I had trouble with mine when I was young - I couldn't retract the foreskin all the way and it hurt when I tried - did I have to get cut? Nope, Doc just told me I needed to manually pull it all the way back in the bath for a week or two. And it worked. Kind of like exercising in skin and getting to stretch normally.MightyReis said:(I am not circumcised, but I will be)DirkGently said:The only medical reason to be circumcised was to reduce the chance of bacteria growing inside the foreskin, which is easily avoid by cleaning it in the shower, which most guys do anyway, so the only reason nowadays is religious, and they're not real good reasons to mutilate a child's genital organs.
For you "DirkGently" and for all the people reading this thread, untill now you are all mainly wrong. Sorry
So this is the thing:
-It is true that being circumcised reduces the chances of catching some kinds of viruses and etc, but this is not the main reason why (not Jewish) people do it!
The main problem is that sometimes, your foreskin is to tight for your penis! And you CAN'T have sex, at least, not without a condom. Because the condom helps your penis to "slide" in the vagina of your partner, without it, when you have an erection, the foreskin doesn't retract at all, and so, you can't enter your penis in your partner's vagina.
That's the reason I will be circumcised, 'cause "on your own"/self-pleasure (as you want...) you cant have pleasure and reach the orgasm, but in SEX..you can't.
And after reading this...I am bit scared about the pain I'll feel..
I'm not saying there aren't cases where circumcision isn't necessary, medically, but the thing is, USA doctors don't understand isn't not necessary to lop the damn thing off all the time. Or they do understand but don't want to lose the fees for the surgery's. That said, if you doc says you need it.
I would say to those who say 'well it prevents problems', well, why not have your toes cut off too? After all, you don't really need them to stand, especially if you have it done young enough to adapt to the change. As a result, no infections or fungus between the toes, and you can buy smaller shoes! Joking, of course, but you can see why us in Europe find your country mad in this regard.
