No, and I like it that way. Having no foreskin would probably either hurt when your dick touches your pants or you'd lose lots of sensitivity down there.

I just got a wisdom tooth in.

It cut a whole in my mouth that got infected, and has been healing up for the last week or so.

Now it's regrowing itself tougher, less sensitive.

Same concept applies.

In the UK circumcision is pretty rare I don't know anyone who is I myself am uncut and I prefer it that way I mean has any actually died who wouldn't have if they had been circumcised.
Asthetic concerns is the most outrage thing I have ever heard to justify mutilating someone an infant in most cases because someone has decided that a part of the human body that is supposed to be there because a foreskin is certainly not a defect is ugly and should be removed.
I certain don't think mine would look better cut but even if I did as an adult I can make the decision on my own whereas an infant can't and in my mind should be a human rights infringment.
Hair cutting is a different issue one is that hair grows back, two hair didn't original need cutting because of the damage it would sustain during day to day activity that doesn't exist in the modern world.

I don't agree with cutting a part of any person's body without their consent. If someone (male or female) wants to have their genitals cut I don't care as long as it is truly consensual and performed by a professional. If I had kids I would not have them circumcised; he can choose when he's an adult. It's not like you can get it back once they cut it off.

I prefer the appearance of circumcised penises (cut vaginas will give you nightmares) but I think that's me absorbing a cultural norm and since it pulls back when the penis is erect it really doesn't matter.

It's weird that circumcision has become what it is in the West today.

Most people think Michelangelo's David isn't circumcised. His genitals definitely don't have the characteristic shape we associate with circumcision.

But he is. Just not in the "radical" style commonly used today. He's just missing the skin at the tip that hangs loose when the penis is flaccid.

Very few people in Europe are circumcised, to us it's something only the Jews do. Why most Americans do it despite most being Christian I have no idea. There's no benefit to circumcision and the Bible says nothing about it (but I could be wrong so if someone can pull up a Bible quote, be my guest).

The only reason girls (or guys if you prefer) wouldn't like the sight of it, is they've never seen one so they think it's freakish, when in actual fact, it should be the opposite. A healthy penis should have foreskin. Okay it's a lil droopy and shrivelly-looking but dammit it was there in the first place and doesn't kill ya like an appendix.
Old Testament says do it.

New Testament says it doesn't matter.

Not sure why the Christians cherry-picked the OT verse. Must've been to justify existing tradition.
Doesn't Revelations say something about Heaven not accepting the uncircumcised?

The only medical reason to be circumcised was to reduce the chance of bacteria growing inside the foreskin, which is easily avoid by cleaning it in the shower, which most guys do anyway, so the only reason nowadays is religious, and they're not real good reasons to mutilate a child's genital organs.
(I am not circumcised, but I will be)
For you "DirkGently" and for all the people reading this thread, untill now you are all mainly wrong. Sorry :p

So this is the thing:

-It is true that being circumcised reduces the chances of catching some kinds of viruses and etc, but this is not the main reason why (not Jewish) people do it!

The main problem is that sometimes, your foreskin is to tight for your penis! And you CAN'T have sex, at least, not without a condom. Because the condom helps your penis to "slide" in the vagina of your partner, without it, when you have an erection, the foreskin doesn't retract at all, and so, you can't enter your penis in your partner's vagina.

That's the reason I will be circumcised, 'cause "on your own"/self-pleasure (as you want...) you cant have pleasure and reach the orgasm, but in SEX..you can't.

And after reading this...I am bit scared about the pain I'll feel..

It's a painful healing process, or so I've been told. Unless you have hemophillia, you should be fine, if a little uncomfortable for a week or so.

Welcome to the dark circu-side

I strongly disagree with femele circumcision. It is inhuman.

Male, not circumcised.
I don't know why anyone would want to be; I understand that its neccesary for medical reasons sometimes, but actually wanting to go through what has been described in this thread as very painful sounds silly to me.

Besides, at a young age my dad very bluntly told me that if I didn't clean my body properly, especially my penis, shit could get real bad, dawg.

Bottom line; circumcision is only neccesary in extreme medical cases, if you can't keep your penis clean with a foreskin, you really deserve the thing to get nasty and drop off.

It isn't talking about physical circumcision.

And yet, most parents mutilate their son's genitals before this would even be an apparent issue.

I'm confused.

How does one circumcise the mind?

Also, that would be your interpretation of the Bible's words, not the set-in-stone meaning.

Phil 3:3: "For we are the true circumcision, who worship God in spirit, and glory in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh." (RSV)

Otherwise, uncircumcised

You see, now I interpret that differently. As in, the "true circumcision" just being the worship of the Lord, rather than caring about the physical nature of life. So it doesn't matter if you are circumcised or uncircumcised, as long as you follow the Lord.

I sure am glad my parents didn't slice up my penis to please a magical space man.
