to me claymores serve the same function as C4, but you don't have to worry about setting them off so you can focus on other things

C4 is better because it makes a massive explosion compared to the claymore that and it can be tossed.

If this is BF2 we're talking here. you could always stack all your C4 on the front of a vehicle and ram it into someting. blows up on contact, I <3 C4 suicide.

EDIT: And no, I refuse to use the term 'C4 jihading' because does the REAL meaning for jihad sound like it makes sense? Jihad = Holy War.

It dpends on the game, and what your trying to do.

In BF2 for example, Claymores are that great at taking out tanks where as C4 is, however claymores are great anti-personel weapons.

Right tool for the job really

Also a both button would be good.

Aha your talking about claymore mines.

I thought this was going to be an interesting discussion of the differing advantages and disadvantages between stable and reliable plastic explosives and five foot long steel blades of death and dismemberment.

Got to say although a claymore sword is somewhat cumbersome, its ability to slice a man in half wins in the bad-ass championships.

Well claymore mines are made with C4. So I guess C4.

Claymore! Claymore! Claymore! boom. That brings back memories.

For me C4 for laughs, while claymores are usually more usefull as they cover your 6 as you do other stuff

I go for claymores. In BF2 they saved my ass more times then I can count. Once I saw some guy swimming towards my ship/spawn point so I claymored the ladder he would have to climb up to get into the ship. It was a lan game so it was funny to hear the guy curse from across the room when he died.

Later on the same map, I was on the crane sniping people in the other base. People started to get pissed at me because they said I was "camping" to which I retorted "Its called sniping! Get it right!" That comment led me to become the number one target in the game. Now before I was targeted by everyone, I place a few claymores on the only way onto the crane. A few died on the ladder and the only one left was one in the well that couldn't be seen from the ground. From across the room I hear "Damn it! We need to take him out. Who is close to that crane?" "I am, but all I have is a knife left." "I'm looking right at him, you can get him if you hurry." Now I knew I was safe, so I didn't want ruin the surprise. About 30 seconds later I hear a boom and a note that I got a kill along with a stream of curses from across the room. There is more that happened that day, but I'll leave that for another time.

I prefer claymores as you have to babysit C4 which takes up valuable time that could be used sniping and/or generally killing other players.

While the claymore blows up the first guy you can use C4 to blow up the majority of a group and shoot the rest while they're scratching their heads and wondering what the hell just happened

Claymores all the way. don't demand your constant attention for that one key moment to blow them up and more satisfying to hear the *click* BOOM
i use C4 as well in CoD4 occassionally for objective based games since thats where they come into their prime "losing A" BANG - 2 kills. but if you have a target in your sights who sees you, you dont want to have to think one behind me i need to whip out the detonator to get him.

C4 if your talking about COD 4 which I suspect you are.

Claymores are a terrible idea, easpecially when they only exploe when the enermy runs past. Its frustrating to know that C4 is efectivly useless because Claymores are so overpowred.

BF2 = C4 for car bombs. To quote my friend 'It's like I'm a friggin terrorist, man!'

Cod4 = Claymore. They save me a lot. I like C4 for planting at a enemy's feet and blowing him to kingdom come.

Yeah I love the 'set and forget' (i just coined that phrase unless someones heard it elsewhere) ability of the claymores. Im a master at placing them and I've almost never had someone not get killed by one I placed in COD4.
