Yes, and it is rather major difference. Sure, they're still in the same category, just like how Sprite and Sierra Mist are in the same category, but they are still different. Coke always seems to have a more well-rounded yet subtle taste, and Pepsi always seems like it is trying to make sure that I know that it is in my mouth and has a lot of sugar.Mezahmay said:1. Well, I've only had Diet Coke once in my life, and I've never tried Diet Pepsi. Usually I'm not a huge fan of the sugar-free alternatives. Diet Coke, in particular, left a horrible aftertaste, and the "texture" (for lack of a better word) is always seriously off even in beverages that have no difference in taste between regular and diet.2. Can you taste the difference between diet and regular versions of the same cola brand?
Anyways, as for my preference, let's just say that I am very glad that Coca-Cola is the only one sold at my university. It means that I don't have to deal with being served Pepsi anywhere, as I'm not a huge fan of Pepsi, and Coca-Cola (more specifically Vanilla Coke) is my favorite soda. I'll drink Pepsi if that's all that's available (or the only alternative is Mountain Dew), but if I'm given the option, I will always pick Coke.
