My sentiment exactly. When I already have a superior machine for that type of games, why not use that?
I'd hate to do all the typing that an MMO requires through the thumb-stick and the four buttons. And no, I'm not going to buy the keyboard you can attach to the 360 controller.
I'm also
not going to engage in voice chat with people all willy nilly. I wouldn't want to deal with people with unintelligible [footnote]To me, I'm terrible at accents..[/footnote] accents, and people who don't know how to spell, much less pronounce, whatever they're trying to say. I'd hate having to try deciphering whatever someone who can't even spell "I" or "Me" are trying to say, and I have encountered people who are unable to spell those words before.
Not that they are inferior people, of course, but not even having a proper keyboard at your disposal is seriously going to hamper communication even further.
Of course there's also the problem that the MMO would have to be incredibly simple to accommodate the very limited input options that a console controller provides. Unless you're going by the Guild Wars or Champions Online route, but even those games would be stretching the capabilities of a regular controller.
