I'll agree with the control issue, but if the designers of the game are building the game for the system, I doubt they would make anything that makes an upgrade necessary unless they were in cahoots with the System Company itself.New Troll said:Consoles not only are way too limited on controls, but also you can't upgrade the hardware for with each new demanding expansion.
Well said comrade, now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go play an FPS , which totally doesn't involve killing the same enemy hundreds of times.NoMoreSanity said:No, not if they bring the complex menu systems, the boring grinding, and the monthly fees. Computers can keep that shit.
Also, look at WoW. The required minimum specifications have barely changed since it was released. They changed the necessary RAM to 512mb, and that was before the first expansion.ShoryukenDude said:I'll agree with the control issue, but if the designers of the game are building the game for the system, I doubt they would make anything that makes an upgrade necessary unless they were in cahoots with the System Company itself.New Troll said:Consoles not only are way too limited on controls, but also you can't upgrade the hardware for with each new demanding expansion.
The logicistics of getting the different consoles to communicate with each other would be hard enough. Getting the hardware companies involved to agree with it would be even harder.Souplex said:Lets throw a little wrench in this discussion with an additional aspect; cross console play.

There'd be plenty of players without such a feature.
Was that not with Console > PC? And said PC's run on an operating system owned by the same company that makes the Console?ShoryukenDude said:They did it with Shadowrun.Idocreating said:The logicistics of getting the different consoles to communicate with each other would be hard enough.
