Also my sister had a bad turn when she got the implant. Made her go funny or something, she had to have it taken out.
My girlfriend got one and it made her anemic. I have a friend at work who got one, despite me telling her not to bother, and now she's become paranoid and anxious about everything and just the other day she started feeling sick and got a rash on her chest. Those things are just not worth the side affects.

I tried the pill a long time ago (in my early 20s) but it reduced my sex drive. A LOT. Which my boyfriend at the time didn't much appreciate. So on the pill, I could safely have all the sex I wanted to, but I had no desire to do so.
Did you try different brands? I was on a pill called Yasmin and I didn't want to have sex at all for nearly two months and I was really moodly and irrational. I thought there was something wrong with me emotionally but I changed brand and everything went back to normal in about a week.
No, actually. I used the brand my insurance would cover. **shrug** At the time, I couldn't afford other options.

Preferably the implant.

I used to use condoms as my sole method of contraception, but damn, it's not nearly as good as 'bare back'.
I hear that.

I can't miss this opportunity: "That's what she said!"

OT: Condoms usually, because they are the best protection against STI's. If it's with someone I trust then the pill or any other method will do, although some girls don't like the pill etc. because they are worried about the hormones or whatever. And in that case, again it's the condoms. Condoms do suck comparatively, but its still better than nothing.

Never had sex, but if I was in a relationship and not just getting me some strange, I'd have to say The Pill (me being a male).

I'm gay so I don't think the pill, or any other methods than condoms, would really work. So condoms, unless I have known my partner for a very long time and trust him not to be sleeping around and getting STDs. Then we can do it the way it was meant to be done. >:)

For protection from STDs, condoms are the only one that works... for contraception, had a vasectomy. So if I'm with a woman I trust who has been tested recently, I can go bareback without a care in the world.

As much as I like the pill, nothing comes close to the safety condoms can provide. Btw, it being the only method in which I can actively participate, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

BTW, it's the only real protection against STDs

Now that depends entirely on whether or not you're trying to just not get someone pregnant, or if there are other potential problems you're trying to avoid, no?
