My second nomination is the Military-style hat (don't know what else to call it). I have a strong preference for these over regular basewall-caps.

I'll add that I don't tend to wear hats, and I only own three. One of each of these, and a trilby.

I quite like these but the ones civilians wear have a shorter beak than the military ones. I think the extended beak is a bit retarded, though it does keep the sun off like what hats are msupposed to do.

I actually have a plain black military style one. I'm using for a costume party this weekend. I'm going as Ryder from San Andreas.
