When LARPing, my main character is a dex-based fighter who specializes with a katana. (Yes, I am aware that the Weapon Finesse feat doesn't normally apply to katanas, but none of us, including the DM, realized that until I was at high-tier epic levels, and I got Weapon Finesse at 6.)
Technically, he's a straight up fighter, but while our LARP is based on 3.5 Edition D&D, a lot of things are changed to streamline the LARPing, and to add more options, though one thing I find personally limiting slightly is that feats only come every 3 levels, regardless of class, not counting bonus feats (like a dual-wield ranger's ambidexterity). In that regard, the character is a Final Fantasy Tactics-style samurai prestige class, without the whole "having to carry around five of each sword in case one breaks on ability use" thing.
As for alignment, funny story. I started as Neutral Good (like I always did with Baldur's Gate II), but due to something bad I did at level 15-ish, wound up being shoved to True Neutral in an instant. I stayed there for another 25 levels, without trying. Currently at Neutral Good again.
This LARP has been running for a very long time, despite the fact that it's just a small group of friends. So we get very high level.
I also have an intentionally started True Neutral dual-wield ranger. Currently level 3 (nearly level 4) due to excessive XP penalties, because of the build. Plan on breaking my record for how long I can stay True Neutral.
Yes, I am a nerd. I do like how my True Neutral Ranger is playing out though, so I picked that for class of choice.
