It kinda jumped between them.
Gohan when he was training, Gohan when he was on Namek, Gohan fighting Cell, Gohan being the Great Saiyaman, Gohan trying to get into Videl's pants (WinRAR), Gohan training with the Z-Sword/Elder Kai then fighting Buu.
The rest is pretty much Goku and some filler.

Depends, Ultimate Gohan was cool. I mean, look. Plus his theme is awesome.
Apart from that, Goku hands down fo sho. Still prefer Vegeta thouggh.

It depends on the saga and whether you mean the manga Dragon Ball, or the Anime Dragon Ball Z. The original DB is very much about Goku, you see him grow from a boy of 10 to a man in his 30's-40's (possibly 50's)and see him raise a family and die (twice). But certain sagas are very much about Gohan, most notable Cell and Buu. Gohan was introduced as the replacement for Goku and acted very much as his protege from the beginning of the Saiyan up until the beginning of the Cell games where he took over as the main character and was due to remain as such. However because of fan outcry Goku was brought back during Buu.
There is no other answer than Goku. Other than Gohan having his shining moment of awesomesauce that was the finale of the Cell Saga, he doesn't do much else. Oh wait, I suppose he beats the snot out of Super Buu there for a little bit, and of course there was that whole Supreme Kai...bit.
That was pretty cool.
Still though, Goku is the one everybody remembers the most, and for good reason. Somehow, through one way or another, he comes out on top.

One of my favorite Goku moments was the Super Saiyan 3 transformation and the fight with Majin Buu's first form. Absolutely glorious.
