Having barely played the Battlefield 3 beta and having played only so much of Deus Ex, I'd say it depends on what you're content with. With Deus Ex, you're probably getting something you haven't experienced before, and it's certainly an experience that won't be hampered by any obnoxious, unreliable people online in a multiplayer experience that's you have probably faced more than enough times. With Battlefield 3, my guess is that you do indeed get that SAME experience you have had. Even if you find it enjoyable, it is not doing anything new and it certainly doesn't hold the single-player experience in high regard; based on what I have read, Battlefield may as well be figuratively spitting on the idea of single-player. Regardless, if you honestly don't care that Battlefield 3 does absolutely NOTHING worthy of mentioning besides offering refined (or merely competent, in my honest opinion) multiplayer gameplay, then I'd have to say wait for something better, because chances are Modern Warfare 3 will be more fun, even if it will no doubt be just as contemptible as this game. More importantly, Deus Ex is fun, and offers a striking number of ways to play, and is overall a lot more interesting, which Battlefield 3 is not in the slightest. I still have to say, again, that if that does not matter to you and you would rather jump online, then disregard my compliments to Deus Ex. Also disregard what I say if you feel that my opinion isn't worth much considering how little I've played of both games, but I would still argue that as long as I can reason then I can give a good thought-out opinion on them.
