I've seen several gameplay videos and it looks just as mind-numblingly boring as the first two games. Take a few steps, get surrounded by monsters, click on them, watch them explode, repeat a million times. I've never understood the appeal of those games. I played the first two and thought they were repeatitive and dull. My brother, on the other hand, was a full-fledged Diablo 2 junkie and I'd repeatedly ask him "Why are you still playing that damn game?". He would just say "I don't know." I think it's just the loot. People get addicted to finding that ph4t lewt. They're like Pavlov's dog getting excited every time it hears the bell ring. I'm not that greedy or materialistic and if I were, I'd much rather put my resources into getting real, tangible goods, not digital weaponry that I can only use in one game to get more digital weaponry. It's like that old cocaine commercial, "I use coke so I can work more, so I can earn more money, so I can buy more coke, so I can work more, so I can earn more money, so I can buy more coke...". You play Diablo so you can get more loot, so you can click more, so you can get more loot, so you can click more, so you can get more loot, so you can click more, so you can get more loot...
Yeah, I think I'm going to pass on this one. I don't care how many 9's and 10's it gets when the reviews come out.
