NO...at first. Seemed too 'console-like' for me at first, and having bought Mass Effect 1 and 2 at the same time, and then played through them in order, I felt that ME2 was 'dumbed down' somewhat. That the graphics were less, the atmosphere had an HD-makeover, but it just felt...how to explain...like, the graphics from CoD4 to MW2: you could visually see the difference, but it also felt different too. And I didn't like MW2.
But towards the end I really started to like the game (thoroughly encouraged after I met back up with Wrex), and after a second play through, yeah, game is pretty darn good. ME1 still holds that classic appeal to me though, and it really makes me feel like I'm exploring space. ME2 feels like just a really pretty generic shooter with space elements and awesome writing.
Still hate Miranda though. Twit. Me and Jack are gonna be in the backroom working on our...flexibility.
