I selected other, because I bought Modern Warfare 2 and played ONLY the single player and spec ops missions. I never, and still havent, played the multiplayer. Nor do I desire to.

It is and has always been my favorite part about the games. Unlike the MP, it's also something that is getting steadily better with almost every game in the series.

I played and enjoyed the Black Ops campaign. Lots of explosions, shooting etc...For me it was sever hours of fun, for my neighbors it was like the 3rd World War had started (250Watts of explosions and gunfire, I LOVED IT). To be honest, the single player campaign is the only thing I played in Black Ops, I wasn't interested in multiplayer.
I did play every CoD (single player campaign) that got released on PC, but to be honest, Black Ops was the only one that stood out and kept me playing it...dunno why, maybe coz of the explosions that took place every freakin' 3 seconds.

PS: The only multiplayer I tried and liked in the CoD franchise was in World At War, the co-op story campaign and nazi zombies with 3 of my friends...Lots of laughs and good times.

If you own CoD4 but haven't played CoD4's campaign... you don't deserve to live, you horrible, horrible creature.

The last CoD singleplayer that i played through entirely was Modern Warfare 1. I liked it.
Tried to play MW2. I was bored out of my mind after a while.
By this point I just think the franchise is going downhill. Fast. Its just not intressting anymore. Not even the multiplayer.

Other - I played the singleplayer campaign, never touched the multiplayer as I have no interest in it. Yes I paid for MW2, no I will never buy another CoD product again.

I have chosen the other option because i haven't (never mind owned) a call of duty game since the expansion for the first Call of Duty.

I have a strange compulsion to beat the single-player of any game that offers it before I ever even touch the multi. I find it a great way to learn the little quirks that make the game different from others that I played...that, and I payed for it, why not play it.

If I start on multi, I will never return to single.

I rent CoD in order to play the single player campaign as it is normally quite enjoyable but then I try the multiplayer and then I remember why I don't buy cod games because the multiplayer sucks.

I blinked and missed it.

sorry it had to be said.

I've been forced to sit through all of the CoD games because I had the poor judgment to say that the series started falling apart around the time that CoD 2 came out.

And low ans behold I was right about that The first CoD had a really nice Campaign that was about 9 hours long (If I recall) but it's been about 1 hour shorter every year after that to the point where I beat MW 2 in one sitting counting all of my stupid deaths. I think if I could go through Black Ops with out dying it would take me about 45 minutes. On hardcore. not Veteran. Veteran is fucked up.

I pick up COD purely for the Single Player mode. I'll mess with MP some, but rarely stick with it long.

I have played all through a CoDs campaign when I get a new one, but that's almost entirely because I play on XBox and doing so is worth a few hundred player points. Otherwise I probly would have gotten bored enough to say "screw it" and leave it alone all together. The campaigns are always short and you're almost every time at a mexican stand off. In which case you just bounce between cover and firing until everyone is dead, no real tactical situations or challenges, just a matter of finding which cover to shoot from.

The only real fun I had outside of CoD multiplayer were the SpecOp missions.

I pick up my CoD at midnight and blast the single player till completion. Havea nap, and some breakfast, then i start on the multi. This has become a ritual, i take 5 days off'f work for it and i play the game until my armpits are glued shut.

Yes im a fan(boy, if you like) but damn it i have emotional ties to Soap and Price (Sad to hear Soap dies in MW3) and i happen to be someone who can suspend belief for a few hours and have some mindless arcadey-shooty-michael bay-ee fun without getting hung up on why my CoD game isn't Bioshock or Half-Life.

In short. I play CoD more than any other game (MW series specifically) because it's fun, all my friends play and we fun it up for hours on end every freaking day.

I imagine the majority of people blow through single player first and then never touch it again, playing multiplayer instead. At least that's what I usually do.

meh i don't really enjoy playing single player games that much anymore unless they are really good, i would probably have played trough the campaign if there was a co-op option, but there isn't so i just end up going straight to online. (i've done this with all the cod games : p)
