Sorry for bugging my fellow escapists for a few minutes, but since I'm horrible at coming to my own decisions x-x (always bouncing back and forth in my head), I was wondering if you could help me out with something.

Seeing as school is coming to an end soon up here in Canada, I've been trying to figure out what to do to spend my time over the Summer Break besides work and such. Now, I love both of these games exceptionally(RE5 for its fun arcadey action and camp, and DMC4 for its fast stylish moves and monsters...and camp), I can't seem to decide which one play. I'm going to be running through both of them trying to 100% whichever one gets chosen. So, I'm now asking for your insight on what I should pick.

(Note: Both games are the PC version, meaning that DMC4 has LDK mode, while RE5 has none of it's DLC...atm)

DMC4.

While I feel like it is one of the weakest titles in the series, it's still really fun to play.

Resident Evil 5 however, fails on many levels.

Really, if you want to play a good zombie horror game with 3rd person shooting, play RE4. If you want to play a good zombie action game with 3rd person shooting, play Dead Space.

RE5 fails on both of these.

Don't know what LDK mode is, but unless it gives nero more variety in moveset I would say RE5.
Umm, LDK stands for Legendary Dark Knight mode, which is basically a special PC only mode, which is basically Hard mode but with a lot more enemies (say a normal room has 1 armored dude plus 4 regular dudes, LDK mode will have 5 armored dudes and about 20 normal dudes)

Still with the RE5 hate, huh, Hubi? I guess I really am the only one who liked it enough to replay it 5 times :p

True, but I still don't even get why I like this game better than 4. I can admit that it's even technically inferior to 4, but I just had more fun with it. Especially the Mercenaries mode.

Depends on what you ask for in a game, really, but personally I'd recommend DMC4 because it's fast-paced stylish fun, lasts you a long time, and because in my opinion the entire Resident Evil series is a humongous pile of spunk.

Oooo, a tough one! I liked both games, both are quite fun. However, my vote goes to RE5 on the simple basis of more replay value after finishing the game the first time.

I think you should get somthin' else. I personally was despointed with RE5, so i say no don't get it. I've never liked the DMC series so again for me i would say get somthin' else. If had to choose i say get DMC4, RE5 sucked that much for me.

I'd say RE5 because DMC4 is nearly impossible to 100% (If your talking about achievements). And if you've got someone to play with on RE5 the experience doubles in my opinion.

DMC4... Seriously, Floor 100 of the bloody palace?

I agree, but prepare to kill me when I say that DMC2 was my favourite. Yes, I went there.

Definitely DMC, it's just great launching something into the air at 20mph then slicing it all the way back down again.

DMC4 really feels like half a game because of the backtracking, but it's still better than that ghastly RE5 that is as close to Resident Evil as Gears of War is to Pac-Man in that they are both videogames you can play with a controller.

Unless you're an avid Resi fan like myself and want to find out the next part of the storyline, I would suggest DMC4. I just found it more fun overall. Especially when you completely trash a boss and end up with SSS for you grade. Makes you feel very good about yourself!

DMC4 is the obvious choice. LDK is the best,to pull of a that move you have to charge up as nero in a fully crowded room is just awesome.
