Hmm..it's still pretty dang close (that plus both my friends said to go with RE5, bringing it to 17/17 each)

The thing with DMC4 is, basically I only have 2 more modes left to beat (the second half of easy, and then Hell And Hell), with not much after that besides beating it with supers, or the last bit of Bloody Palace.

With RE5, I still have Veteran and Pro to go though(dunno if I should go through with Sheva on those ones), but then after that, its just medal hunting and such.

But I love playing both...x-x

I guess I'll leave this up for just a bit longer and see if that differentiates the totals a bit.

Hmm...
I just got RE5 and its all right so far.
As long as you more or less ignore the plot, its a pretty fun game.

Sorry for bugging my fellow escapists for a few minutes, but since I'm horrible at coming to my own decisions x-x (always bouncing back and forth in my head), I was wondering if you could help me out with something.

Seeing as school is coming to an end soon up here in Canada, I've been trying to figure out what to do to spend my time over the Summer Break besides work and such. Now, I love both of these games exceptionally(RE5 for its fun arcadey action and camp, and DMC4 for its fast stylish moves and monsters...and camp), I can't seem to decide which one play. I'm going to be running through both of them trying to 100% whichever one gets chosen. So, I'm now asking for your insight on what I should pick.

(Note: Both games are the PC version, meaning that DMC4 has LDK mode, while RE5 has none of it's DLC...atm)
Do me a favor as a fellow Canadian and check out Allan Wake for me. I haven't had a chance to play it, but I've heard some good things. Get back to me as to whether or not it's worth the buy.

RE5 has awesome multiplayer potential. Nothing in my gaming experience even game close as far as co-op goes. If you have friends over a lot, or internet acces, a mic and a few online friends that have RE5 I'd definately recommend it over anything else.

The single-player just isn't as fun, maybe worth a single playthrough but that's where it stops.

Go for resident evil 5, since you're shooting zombies, and gibbing them with a shotgun = endless joy.

DMC4 on the other hand has the dice... stupid time-wasting mechanic... I love the entire DMC series, but those dice...

RE5 Gold.

Trust me, I'm a Tory Good guy.
And I trust you on that, but atm, the PC version(which is the copy I own, I dont have a PS3 or 360) doesnt have the DLC on it, besides the the costumes, and the ones that until recently were PC exclusive.

And it also appears that Capcom doesn't know if it is going to release it or not, cause of all of the piracy with their PC games, which is why a lot of people on the Capcom community website are petitioning for it =/ If it did come with it, it would be 100% RE5 IMO and I wouldn't have had to ask this

I like DMC3 more than DMC4 and I like RE4 better than RE5. Though if I had to choose between DMC4 and RE5, I'd choose DMC4.

I'd choose Devil May Cry. I hear it's the spiritual predecessor to Bayonetta, which I loved. Unlike Resident Evil 5, which I did not. Quite actively.
Lol trolling a little early in the day? or are you really comparing the two. Bayonetta is bleh compared to the DMC series. I hate to sound rude just it bugs me when people say that. Its like how people say Blazblue is the spirtual sucsessor to the greatest game series ever made Guilty Gear when it dosent hold a candle.

Just so you are aware, once you beat the game and unlock Mercenaries mode in RE5 you get something similar to LDK mode in DMC4, where there are many more enemies than usual.

The online of RE5 uses Games For Windows Live, but its one of the better ones to use it in my opinion. Not much lag at all, easy to get into games. On the other hand, RE5 is very frustrating at points without a partner.

Can't tell you much about DMC4, though I would imagine it would not be as much fun without a gamepad.

I remember being in HMV or something nad my girlfriend picked out RE5 and said we could play it co-op, I asked her if she was sure she'd actually play it and she agreed. So I picked up that and an extra controller for £60. Went home and got past the first ridiculously easy boss and then she wanted to stop because she found it scary. Ah well.

It's been rotting on my shelf really, she doesn't like it. Started co-op on it again with my mate and did the first boss, then he wanted to stop cos he got bored. I can't really be bothered with it now, seems a waste.

For PC? I would suggest a good strategy game like Total War(any of them) or Company of Heroes. Neither DMC4 or RE5 have that much replay value.

Oh god I forgot about the dice. The was painful having to do that and it ground the whole experience to a jarring halt.

I enjoyed both games but if your playing on your own don't expect to get far on the harder difficulties of RE5 without wanting to murder your AI partner.

You can get both games for fairly cheap. I'd say Resident Evil 5 just because DMC4 wasn't that great...
