Every time I am out late, in particular when walking around the Storeton Woods area, the sky is filled with these little fuzzy critters swooping around and going "zzEEEk, zzEEEk". The thing is that they seem to want to play chicken with my face. In they come, swooping down, telling me that "zzEEEk, zzEEEk" as they do so, making me duck and dive around the place like some idiot. Maybe they think it's funny, but I fail to see the amusement factor in harassing fellow travellers on the road. Or maybe they are getting back at a human being for our wrecking of the bat population over the years. Whatever the case, they are annoying as buggery.

Do they ever give anyone else here trouble?

I had a few come into my house before, but I'm not scared of them.

And actually one of my cats will occasionally bring a dead or a half dead bat home as a gift for me. xD

Actually, I've yet to see a wild bat.

These fuckers, however, make me panic.

I wish we had more bats around here, it would certainly help lower the mosquito population. And I don't care what you say, everyone needs less mosquitoes.

I only ever see bats on the TV, or .... On the TV.
So no, bats don't make me paranoid, but that would change if I actually came into contact with one.

Since bats use sonar, they're probably less likely to fly into me than any other flying beastie. So no, bats are fine, wasps on the other hand...

I love bats. :) They'll never, ever hit off you unless you move in front of them suddenly. So really, all your ducking and diving just increases chances of them hitting you. Keep calm and just keep walking and you'll be much better off.

Oh no! Your bats are working for the Principality of Zeon! Hopefully, they don't have mobile suits.

As for me? The only time I have a bat problem is when I visit Panama. Vampire bats, comrades. Mean suckers, every last one of them. I wandered into a cave on one of the islands near Colon and I got blitzed by a whole bunch of 'em. The bite hurts like hell too.

I wasn't but I a a bit wary of them now thanks to below story.
I opened my curtains at night as something was making a sound and I got hit in the chest by one. It was a nice surprise at 5am, let me tell you.

Actually most small fuzzy and / or scaly things tend to make me run home, and smash the door (Which is kind of a problem, living in a state primarily consisting of woods - yet another reason to stay indoors)

I've only got a couple of bats around where I live, but one time I went into our stable (my family owns a horse ranch) and we found a tiny little bat just lying on the ground, squeaking. It was only about four inches long, so I picked it up and brought it outside to an old shack on our property. They really don't make me 'paranoid', because once you see them up close they really don't seem scary.

Don't see them that much, but they freak the f*ck out of me.

Too much fluttering.

Are you kidding?

I LOVE BATS!

They're such a unique species, they're SOO cute, and they get rid of mosquitoes by the stomachfull, which is award-worthy where I live. We have so many mosquito breeds that they have an annual convention on mosquito diversity in my yard. With me as the buffet.

I build houses for them, train my cat to ignore them, and love it when they use me as a roost for a second or two.

so to reiterate: I LOVE BATS!
