Not the graphix is the problem. The world details, mapping and other small things.
For example Crysis, it's over the top apart the story sucked.

No, no it really does not.

I second that. Sometimes its nice to have a great, shiny, good looking game. But I still go back to the days of 2-D and pixels, and it's just as enjoyable. So although graphics will improve, they in no way need to.

I vote yes, mainly because i want PC games requirements to be standardised and if they keep releasing things that take up less power than notebook then it will never happen

as far as 360 and ps3 graphics go not really as long as they run smoothly its fine though

Graphics are unimportant. I still play Quake II regularly, and the graphics are horrible by today's standards. I have no problem with improving graphics, but developers should have stopped making it a priority a long time ago.

I'd like to see more varied art direction, but I don't think we really need more powerful hardware.

Focus on having a half decent story, then on graphics. Some game devs still dont understand this.

No. Graphics have already driven the price of hardware up too much.

Graphics are not the problem in the gaming industry. In fact the biggest problem is that you are basically buying shiny pieces of Shit. Gameplay should always trump Graphics otherwise I might as well go watch a movie.

Not even that. Its Game play then story then graphics. I've played some pretty awesome games that didnt have a nearly half way decent story but still had a lot of fun. then again the reverse is true. have yet to play a game with amazing graphics and bad Game play / story that was even just good.

Fix the controls, fix the gameplay, and hire some decent writers to make a story that isn't a rehash of something else. If you're worrying about graphics, you're doing it wrong!
